New Lesser Essences: 150 inscribed + 5000 planarite per

Not grinding....its called playing the game. Do people really expect to log on and have stuff drop into your bags?

It would be nice if these costs were reduced to 75 inscribed source stones, however at the expense of upping the planarite cost to 10k each.

If they were to up the planarite cost they would have to increase the planarite cap. I think they are right where they should be. I remember when I started rift I thought the purple essences would be unobtainable. But, as soon as I started doing Raid Rifts and stuff they came in quick. It's just a matter of how hard you're willing to work for what you want. Too many people want everything handed to them on a silver platter with a thank you note.

Casual player = when wife gives permission to play 1-2 hours

Those players have sure something else to do than worry how get best on slot essence in sigil.

Game have already too less content and items are way too easy get if player not casual.

i guess its a good thing he can grind 300 instead and still have a competent sigil. or as a casual raider do you really need those extra stats for gp/dh?

Quite a bunch of people are casual in the way that they mostly just log on for the PvE raid part of the game (or the PvP part i guess), this doesnt mean they are stuck with t1 raid or 10 man content though. Just that they dont enjoy the other oh so very exciting parts of the game..

Having to do other chores like the so called PvP in this game, the completely braindead dailys that only burn time or farming "awesome" rifts in order to still be viable in the raid part is pretty annoying, imo. But sure, if you live on your dads creditcard, living the dream, and can play all day long then i suppose its all good.

The Inscribed Stone grind isn't fun, that's my issue. Running around the map in hopes of getting to a rift in time in hopes that a stone will drop for you isn't fun. Sitting around in sanctum waiting for a zone event to pop is as bad as sitting around waiting for your dungeon to pop. Sitting around the Akala area in Shimmersand waiting for rifts to pop isn't fun.

Grinding Planar Attunement levels is a lot more fun since I can do it anywhere at any time. I can run right into the Endless Citadel and mow down hundreds of enemies for a good hour and never get bored. My character is fun to play, as it was in Aion when I grinded out my platinum coin items back in the day. That makes the grind tolerable, even if it is mindlessly repetitive.

A controlled grind, like these new essences will be, is not fun. You can't mask the illusion of a grind when you'll spend more time waiting around doing nothing than anything else.

So grind PA levels while you wait for Zone events to spawn? Idk, using common sense helps, I suppose.

Personally, I hope they dont lower the cost. Them having those on PTS gives me a reason to do something on Live shards instead of sitting around sanctum bored out of my mind, on nights im not raiding. Wish PVP was still fun, and there was competition sadly, that just isnt the case.

Casual player= can play 3 day per week without have to sleep on the couch.
And yes those player want to be competitive without having to play 8 hour per day

Or simply, having time to play but doesn t want to spend it in stupid farm cause dev think it s the easier way to add more content

I think you guys complaining will get trion to lower the cost for these essences. What they will do is make a new essence that can only be obtained from Ember Isles and you will need 100 of them instead of 150. All of you will then complain that you had farmed inscribeds to get these new essences and now you have to grind all over again.

Mmm would be nice if we could buy inscribed with 500 planite each or something, at least its away to spend the excess planite, got 60,000 cap here also
