    Default Final Round of Updates to Rogues in 1.5

    Hey all,

    We hope you enjoyed your weekends – we saw many of you spending your time on PTS and sharing your feedback with us and others, thanks for all your efforts! We’ve crafted a final set of changes based on our discussions and testing. This is what you’ll be seeing when 1.5 is released later this week in addition to changes listed in the current patch notes:

    Riftstalker
    We’ve been able to make several improvements but as a reminder, these are not the extent of changes we have in the works for tanking – additional improvements will be coming soon in a smaller update following 1.5.
    • Planar Vortex: We’ve doubled the duration of the buff to 8 seconds while increasing weapon damager per second from 50% to 100%
    • Rift Disturbance: We’ve changed this back to its original form, it no longer generates a combo point
    • Shadow Assault & Blitz: Each now awards two combo points.

    Quality of Life
    More improvements for Riftstalkers and some for Bladedancer, we’ve made managing your short duration buffs a little easier

    - Riftstalker
    • Guarded Steel & Annihilate: Duration is now changed – 1 Combo Point: 20 seconds; 2 Combo Points: 30 Seconds; 3 Combo Points: 40 seconds; 4 Combo Points: 50 Seconds; 5 Combo Points: 60 Seconds.
    - Bladedancer
    • False Blade & Dauntless Strike: Duration is now changed – 1 Combo Point: 20 seconds; 2 Combo Points: 30 Seconds; 3 Combo Points: 40 seconds; 4 Combo Points: 50 Seconds; 5 Combo Points: 60 Seconds.

    Area of Effect
    From your feedback and our internal testing we’ve seen some clear, competitive AOE builds surface but we made a few additional tweaks to bring it home

    - Saboteur
    • Time Bomb: Now receive an additional 200% bonus from Attack Power and damage has been increased.
    • Fragmentation Bomb, Annihilation Bomb, Chemical Bomb: Damage has been increased.
    • Residual Shrapnel: Your Blast Charge and Shrapnel charge deal an additional 35% damage over 6 seconds.
    - Marksman
    • Electrified Munitions & Silver Tip Munitions: Now trigger on all ranged weapon attacks, including ranged autoattacks. An internal cooldown of 1 second has been added to these abilities. This change is likely temporary.

    Hell no. You can't be serious... Who the hell wants to use these 2 abilities, tell me? Why don't you change to the buff like Baneful Touch?

    And what about Compound Attack? This ability is still crap. 5 x Twin Strike > Deadly Strike > 5 x Twin Strike > ... is better rotation that Compound Attack's.
    Maybe effecting Deadly Dance to Compound Attack by %3/%6/%9 per combo point would be useful.

    Any word on Sabs not profiting from a bunch of talents they supposedly should ? Like Sab/Rng and Sab/MM ?

    Oh, and sweet incoming tears about the new Rogues. Gonna love them for the hollow QQ they are... except Stealth (especially w/ Slip) is still tactically OP as hell, that's true as ever.

    An internal cooldown was really uncalled for. You basically nerfed it from using casting abilities. They were perfectly fine without you guys putting your mits on them. Why have them proc on autoattacks when theres a cooldown? Total fail Trion.

    most of these are reasonable, as you don't want to overcorrect something. But.. with the apparent goal to make bomb usage in sab heavy builds not a dps loss we have lost out here.. buffing by ap is good and all.. but the amount required would be drastic to bring it out of the hole, perhaps increasing the base damage of these abilities in combination with +ap bonus? plus, even then is it worth using a gcd (a potential charge stack in an already LONG rotaion) ?

    But all around not bad, and definitly closer to the right direction for rogues (as well as much needed love.. almost all my wool is black now..)

    Does the 1 sec ICD change anything?

    ohhh procs from auto attacks now.

    it means that it will essentially stack 1 per second.. no matter how fast u spam macros

    It stops procs on Rapid Fire and Strafe... Pretty big nerf....

    Casted ability + instant ability = 1 proc instead of 2

    yea.. it does sorta - with the 1 sec ICD no matter what you do your only going to get 1 charge per second.

    so now instead of a 10 sec - 15 sec with auto attack procs its now a flat 20 sec it takes to get full stacks regardless of what you do


    its not that big of a deal in PVE, its 20 sec - it actually will help us not pull threat.
    "sigil? I have sigil.. 1.5 day no problem"

    thankfully, when u swich targets it doesnt reset.. like our crappy combo points..

    Whoa whoa whoa is the ICD for the ability or on a per mob basis? Does this change kill MM aoe?
