Default I need a recommendation for AMD AM3 motherboard

I'm seeking advice on which AMD AM3 motherboard will be good for these items below:
    • AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
    • GeForce GTX 460 1GB
    • GSkill Ripjaws 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1600
    • Western Digital 1TB 3.0 Gbs or 6.0 Gbs depending on the recommendation

I prefer a single video slot. SLI and Crossfire are overrated in my opinion. MB must be able to support up to 16GB of memory.

    Thanks for your inputs.

I favor these two for their features:
    1. Asus M4A88TD-V EVO
    2. Gigabyte GA790XTA-UD4

A review of them as well as some others can be viewed here: http://www.techradar.com/news/comput...rboards-713409

You sure you want to buy something now with Intel's Sandy Bridge launching in roughly 1.5 months?

Something you already have? I'd recommend a AMD Phenom II X6 instead for only about $15 more if this is a new part you are talking about.

    GSkill Ripjaws 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1600
But you want a MB that supports 16?

Western Digital 1TB 3.0 Gbs or 6.0 Gbs depending on the recommendation
No difference for gaming. If you want fast go SSD.

You realize that by taking something most choose not to take you are going to be getting a board that has, in theory, much less tech support and trouble reports, yes?

My AMD stuff may be a touch out of date, but I have the ASUS M4A77TD marked for single GPU at $80, but again I'd recommend the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 at $145 or GA-890GPA-UD3H at $135. Even if you don't use it for graphics, it's a faster slot. Plus, multi slot MBs are larger, thus likely easier to work with, and offer more expandability than single slot as those tend to be on small form factor.
