Default Grilled Cheese Sammich Instructions up in hurrrr

    2 slices of Mozzarella
    1 slice of Sharp Cheddar
    1 slice of Swiss.
Put them between two Whole Grain slices of bread (buttered up on the outsides of course)
I usually let the pan heat up on a high flame setting and after about 6 minutes or so put it to medium/low, set the heat however you like though.
toss into the pan and let them toast up a bit.
Sprinkle on some black pepper and some chili powder while it cooks on low heat.
    Wait about 5-6 minutes now
Before you flip it over, take out some hot sauce(I like to use Pico Pica Hot if I want something with a kick, but for more flavor with less kick I go with the Pico Pica Mild) and lightly spread it on a butter knife, and then lightly spread it on the bread.
    Now flip it.
If you feel like it, add some more pepper and chili powder to this side. if not, just wait about 3-4 minutes, add a little bit of hot sauce to this side, flip it back over, wait 15-20 seconds and pull it off.
You'll now have an amazing grilled cheese sandwich. You're welcome.

Everyone has their own taste but i've always believed grilled cheese should involve crappy cheese like kraft slices and crappy whitebread with crappy tomato soup.

The only part of that of which I can condone is the tomato soup. Must be Campbell's or higher quality.

I dunno man I just think some types of food are meant to taste cheap. And sometimes that cheap taste is perfect

But if you are going to go the fancy route... why not use extra sharp cheddar + pepper jack + smoked gouda, on a good sourdough bread and red pepper tomato soup.

Why the hell would you use pepper Jack for grilled cheese? Ewwww. And whole grain bread as far superior to sour dough for grilled cheese.

    1) Tell GF/Wife "Make me a sammich"
    2) Push her into the kitchen if you let her out.
    3) ???
    4) Profit.

I dunno about that... pepperjack melts wonderfully and sourdough grills much better than grain bread.

    Oragano
    Tomato

She doesn't know how to make a good grilled cheese. She'd try to use the lowest quality everything. She's better off making pie.

This is another vote for Kraft cheese, cheap white bread, and Campbell's tomato soup. Tastes like my childhood!

    Ughhh now I want some...

I like mozzarella and provolone on a decent multi-grain bread like roman meal. This goes great with a good tomato soup or a bowl of chili.
