Default The Avatar Behind the Avatar: Post about your favorite avatar from a *previous* MMO

Inspired by the "Face behind the avatar" and "What does your name mean" threads I though we might have fun with this.

Everyone I know has at least one avatar that they wish -or still do- log onto for old time's sake. Tell the community about yours, why you miss it, and if you have a pic post it too.

Though she's not my main in EQ2, my favorite is a Ratonga, named Gnawtorious.

I made her to try out healing and found out I like being up front and chopping heads off of monsters better. She was already 30ish by the time that hit me, and I'd leveled her a good deal in carpentry during the days of sub combines (took a *long* time).

I was leading an RP friendly guild, but had only dabbled in it. Something about Gnaw clicked with me. She has a speech impediment because I couldn't imagine how she could talk with huge teeth. She's mischievous and likes to play pranks. She's upbeat, friendly, and has been known to hug unsuspecting strangers just to confuse them. I'm still not deep into RP, but when I get into character with her, I always seem to have a blast. It's the most fun I've had in an MMO that didn't involve blood.

Is that a casting class or a fighter?

The Disciple is a martial healer, basically uses melee attacks to heal allies and replenish energy.

Ooh, tough call. In WoW, I'd guess it was probably Timi, my gnome warlock, or Timmi, the DK reroll. (No pics/armory, the account's deleted now.)

/3 Serve Timi! Timi wishes to destroy the incompetent lesser evils of Blackrock Depths. Timi requires a meatshield!
/3 If you serve Timi well, when your family are tortured to death in front of you, you will be blinded first so you don't have to watch!

... Interestingly, no matter how over the top her threats and warnings of eventual doom got, people just kept playing with her, possibly 'cuz she was amusing.

In City of Heroes, my current favorite is "Aunt Millie", who is a tank that looks like a little old lady wearing a sweater and a plaid skirt. "Putting the aunt back in taunt aura."

Not the oldest obviously but certainly the best looking. FFXIV did an amazing job with the character models. This isn't even on high settings (talk about a chop fest). It's a shame they didn't put much of a game into the game. The models look good and they are very well animated. The few storyline elements are very well done. I hope they do a better job in the future, it's a game I really want to like.

Well, I have to go with my White Lion from Warhammer. Just wish the pet didn't carry on the characteristics of live kitties by being too damned independent....

Hmm...what exactly should one do in a library?

    was my Signature in Aion.

I like making old people, because i see everyone with their supermodels, young men and creepy childs running around so i feel there is need for some old folks^^'

Timi does sound like good entertainment. I think half of Gnawtorious' appeal was that (in character) she was always catching people off guard.

Cheers to elderly avatars! I also have a granny character in CO named Granny Gunsmith that I have quite a bit of fun with. Here she is with her character sheet. Her powers are all gun based.

Awesome avatar! He looks scary to begin with, but there's something extra menacing about the purple flaming sword. O.o
