even tho i'm a vikings fan and i love watching farve, after seeing him self destruct like the last 3 out of 4 games, i think he's toast. i think his arm is hanging by a thread along with his foot, and he needs to take a few games off to heal or just ride the bench and mentor jackson. childress is going to have to pull him. pull him and tie him down. they can get jared allen to do it.

Growing up, I was always a fan of the Detroit Lions because of Barry Sanders.

Even though they were never terribly good when they had him, and got worse without him, I still like to root for them to win games.

Of course, I had the misfortune to grow up outside of Philadelphia, which means I have to root for the Eagles. They have talent, they have an organization committed to winning, they just blow every important game in the worst way possible.

I've been a Giants fan for more than 20 years so I've seen good and bad, but I'll always stick with 'em.

Steelers fan as well. Parents grew up in Washington so I grew up to the sounds of "Here we go Steelers! Here we go!! It was tough road at the beginning for me, with Bubby Brister, Kordell Stewart, Neil O'Donnell, and Bam Morris, but things turned around. Now I'm shaking my head as I notice crisp Steelers hats atop people's heads who have no idea the years that were taken off my life from watching the black and gold. We got away with one this week against the phins, though.

I have been both a Raiders fan and a Buccaneers fan for decades (yeah I know the only time recently that either made the Superbowl it was against each other- that year was both great & lousy).

That said, I also cheer for the Giants (because of my Dad) and the Steelers (because, well, I grew up in PA) unless they are playing the Bucs or the Raiders.

And this year I've also become a kinda-sorta fan of the Browns because Cleveland needs to be cheering for something!
