    Default 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 ?

I'm using a regular 1920x1080 monitor atm, but thinking about switching cause I have been missing my vFoV since the day I upgraded from my old 1280x1024 one and getting those extra 120 vertical pixels should give me some of that back (at least in MMOs).

Opinions on this, and what are you people using?

I used to have (well, I still use it, but secondary) a 1920*1200 screen. When looking at my ex's screen when playing I realised he had a bit of more visible space going on, plus zooming out, even if only visually, went a bit farther out than on my screen. He had the 1920*1080.

    I switched.

I don't know if it's a game-specific thing, but I'm definitely sticking to 1920*1080, I like the format quite more. It's just a bit too much to move the eyes with those extra pixels.

I vastly, vastly prefer x1200 and that's what I've got my home screens on. The screen is less squashed up and given that lots of information tends to default to the bottom/top of various windows and the screen itself, it's not cutting out usable screen real estate so much in the centre. My work screens are all x1080 and I dislike it. But then, I don't care about watching widescreen movies.
I will not delete my characters for an unwated server merge.

I use x1200 (16:10 a/r) too but it's a dying size, very few new monitors natively 16:10, the x1080 (16:9) standard has become dominant: getting the next resolution up in 16:10 a/r is almost impossible.

It easier/cheaper to manufacture 16:9 since it's also the ratio of TVs. Not that there's much difference in TV and monitors now anyway.
