    Default Music/Films you like?

Thought i would start a new thread about music and films you like when playing or not playing RIFT?

I personally like to listen to upbeat music when in PvP and films when questing!
One of my favorite songs to listen to when in PvP:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1eJkgnHlbE

I am also a fan of the Dexter and Breaking Bad series and like to watch them on occasion!;)

Would like to hear what other people like too! any recommendations or things to watch/listen to?

Seven Samurai and Yojimbo are a couple of my favorites from Japan. Ran was rather fun too.

For something from this century I'm waiting for the next season of Vikings, and I finally got around to this Doctor Who thing everyone keeps yammering about :P
If you're too old to play with Legos, you still have some growing up to do.

    Music for me?
I'm pretty eclectic, ranges from Jeff Buckley to Lamb of God to David Guetta to Rage Against the Machine but my go to tunes is female fronted metal; Otep, Kittie, The Agonist, In This Moment, Eyes Set to Kill, Flyleaf, Nightwish.
It all gives me chills. On more than one occasion I've wanted to have specific parts of my memory wiped just so I can hear 'em all for the first time again.

If you're a fan of this, I'd recommend givin' Dark Crystal a perusal.
More fantasy, with muppets as the main characters and a good plot.

Oh, I love Dark Crystal as well - saw it when it originally released to theaters (and many times since).

Also a huge fan of the artist Brain Froud who did concept art for both Dark Crystal and Labyrinth.

Listening to music while doing PvP...hmmm. Could come from a lot of different genres for me.

Most of the time it's 80's or progressive metal (no,NO! not that hairband *&^%!!) I'm talking stuff like Metallica, Megadeth, Mercyful Fate, Judas Priest, Anthrax,Iron Maiden... I guess iTunes calls it thrash metal. (There's so many genres it's getting silly).

I have a wide range of hard rock to punk and classic rock/metal bands in my ipod. it could be just pure adrenaline, or it could be some local band now defunct that no one has really ever heard. It could be Pitchshifter or the Clay People, then Dream Theatre or UFO, then back into NoFx or Face to Face (the punk band), and go into Thin Lizzy or Rainbow/Black Sabbath (with Dio)

Movies, eh. A few Favs in no particular order
    Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy
    Time Bandits
    The 13th Warrior
    Gladiator
    The Matrix trilogy
    The Blade trilogy
    The Hangover
    Stargate (the movie)
    The Underworld movies
    Chronicles Of Rid****
War of the Worlds (the newer one)
    300
    Angel Heart
    Sin City
    The Ironman series
    MiB movies
(plus others already mentioned, Se7en, Boondock Saints, etc.)

If it's got good action, or a killer plot twist (The Others w/Nicole Kidman), or makes you "think" in awe. It's probably something I've seen.

Dun da-da dar dar, dun da-da dar!

The start of that famous song, (Valkyries Ride?) with the violins; slays me, every time. XD
