    Default Archeage's Class skill system.

    I've noticed that people are confused as to what type of system Archeage uses for class and skills so I will try and explain a little.

    In ArcheAge Class Trees are called Schools. There are different kinds of Schools, like Fighting, Crafting, Gathering. Then under Schools you get the Jobs.

    **Trion may change the names of these jobs in the NA/EU version.

    Fighting Schools

    The Fighting School Jobs

    Artistry - This job is for those who want to be a Bard type player. Mass debuffs (used to control the enemy), enhancing buffs for allies (they are massive beasts), indispensable branch for tech support, good passives for enhancing abilities of this tree.

    Calling - This job is for those who want to be a Rouge type player. Instant motion, go behind the targets back, excellent offensive skills, and self-buff passives to maximize the chance to kill the target, the ability to disappear from sight of the enemy.

    Combat - This job is for those who want to become a Warrior type player. Single\massive attacks, specializing in weapons, fast movement, pulling the enemy to itself, reinforcing self buffs.

    Will - This job is for those who want to be a Paladin type player. This tree is specialized to protect the player, avoid attacks, protection against debuffs, increased HP, teleport short distances on the battlefield, has skills for mass immunity to magic for the party/raid.

    Devotion - This job is for those who want to be a Cleric type of player. A huge set of spells to save the life of your allies and the target, massive spells and self buffs, passives to amplify the power of healing magic.

    Wild - This job is for those who want to be a Ranger type player. A tree for archers, a different set of offensive skills, debuffs to control the target, and self-buff passives to reinforcing possession of ranged weapons, can tame animals.

    Fortification - This job is for those who want to be a EQ's Shadowknight type of player. Debuff skills to control the enemies, excellent self-buff active and passive skills, aggro controlling, temporary invulnerability.

    Magic - This job is for those who want to be a wizzard type of player. A huge arsenal of mass magical attacks, a nice set of passive skills that increases magical attacks.

    Conjury/Illusion - This job is for those who want to be a CC mage type of player. This tree contains single and mass debuffs (silence, roots, sleep, etc), self buffs, player can pretend to be dead, for those who are want to control (CC) their enemies.

    Death - This job is for those who want to be a Necromancer type of player. Black magic (there Vampire), to control the enemies with debuffs (lard, paralysis, telekinesis, slow), enhance magical critical rate.

    Defining your Character in the Fighting School

    - There are 10 jobs in total under the Fighting School from which you are able to choose 3 jobs which will define your character, resulting in a total of 120 different class combinations.

    - Each job has 3 trees, every tree has 11 active and 5 passive skills, so each class has 33+15 aka 48 skills ready, from which you can chose 23 skills which will define your character.

    - Every skill tree has its own level, they are levelling same as the character does (level 50 is the max), and also all the skills have level requirements (depending on the skill trees level and not on the characters level).

    Here is the list of the 120 class combinations under Fighting Schools :

    Passive Skills

    The way to choose passive skills have been redone, now its impossible to choose all the passive skills from a tree without taking on any active skills. In order to choose the first passive skill from a tree, the player needs to have 1 active skill chosen from that tree, to unlock the second passive skill you need to have 2 skills selected from the given tree, for the third passive 3 skills, for the fourth passive 5 skills, and if there is a fifth passive then you need to have 7 skills selected from the tree in order to be able to take that passive skill (this doesn't mean all 7 skills need to be active skills, passives count into this too).

    Combo Skills

    Skills have different results depending on what buffs are on the player or debuffs on the target. Some of them have been changed, and many new combos have been added, now almost every skill had 2-3 combos, and a few even have 4 combos.

    List of Skill Combos (Russian Version) :

    Other Fighting School Info

    - Players may choose 1 job at Char level 1, a second at level 5 and the third job at level 10.

    - Each job has its own skills and level along with the player as they hunt, craft and quest.

    - Each skill has advanced versions and costs coin to improve as the job level increases.

    - Skills can be reset at a trainer, and will then cost coin to be improved to the job level.

    - Skill Jobs can be reset as well, starting L20 iirc, and will then default to L10 and the school will need to be revelled. For example a L50 player dump all 3 of their jobs for 3 new ones, although they are L50, their 3 new jobs are L10 and would need to be advanced through normal levelling, until which time the player would only have access to lower level skills.

    Skill Calculator

    Here is a new English Skill Calculator that has added all the new info and is up to date in the Fighting School, they even have the skill combos at the bottom ! Try it and see how you would like to Define your character.

    Crafting Schools

    In ArcheAge the Crafting School is bound by the Labour system.

    Labour System

    Each character has a certain number of "labour power points" or just "labour" in short, this is similar to an energy bar (located on top of the experience bar). By collecting, mining, manufacturing and processing materials these points are being used up until they are exhausted, and when they reach 0 points, your character will be unable to perform any of the activities listed before.

    Labour points regenerate automatically. Five labour are restored every 5 minutes. This result is a maximum of 1440 labour per day. There are also objects which can boost up labour points a bit, such as the bad bed sleeping, or eating rice cakes. The maximum a player can currently collect is 5000 labour per account, it can be divided among the characters there by free choice. The maximum amount of labour is determined by the level of the player's character and his accumulated experience in all professions.

    Crafting School Jobs

    Alchemy - This job is the crafting of potions and flasks, catalyst for the construction, archium, dye for custom capes and sails and many other objects.

    Handicraft - This job is the crafting of accessories (rings, earrings, necklace), baits for fishing and other magical artefacts.

    Metal - This job is the crafting of plate armor, processing of various raw ores into bars, and others.

    Weaponcraft - This job is the crafting of many different weapons and shields, cannon balls and other explosive charges.

    Commerce - This job is the crafting of of trade packs (commercial boxes), and you can do auction house trading.

    Tailoring - This job is the crafting of cloth armour, processing of fabrics, wool and cotton.

    Carpentry - This job is the crafting of furniture, bows, staffs and fishing rood, and wood processing.

    Cooking - This job is the crafting of Bulk foods and drinks.

    Leatherwork - This job is the crafting of leather armour, processing of rawhide, designing bags from divers, ect.

    Defining your Character in the Crafting School

    Job Levels

    Every Job has it's level, which is defined in points (0-50.000), it can earn points and level up as you are using activities which describes a job, all of these activities require labour points.

    Job levels by points:
    0-10.000 -> Novice
    10.000-20.000 -> Apprentice
    20.000-30.000 -> Journeyman
    30.000-40.000 -> Expert
    40.000-50.000 -> Master

    Levelling up process for Crafting School Jobs

    In order to get a profession to the next level, first you need to reach 10k points with the given profession, then two arrows will appear next to its name (look at the picture above, arrows down/up at nb 7.), clicking on the up arrow you take the profession to the next level, this applies up until the last level "Expert".

    Building / Gathering / Harvesting / Farming Schools

    The Building/Gathering/Harvesting/Farming Schools are all bound by the labour system, just like the Crafting Schools. The difference is that these Schools have Labour dailies and quests. Also the player can share their work with other players to get the job done.

    E.g. A construction player can share his work with others to build a castle.

    Building/Gather/Harvesting/Farming School Jobs

    Logging - Gathering of wood, special trees, branches and tree fruits.

    Masonry - Processing of raw stones, crafting of portal stones, preparing explosives.

    Construction - Building of houses and castles.

    Gathering - Gathering herbs, picking fruits.

    Butchering - Butchering farm animals to use for meat.

    Milking - Milking Goats and cows for milk.

    Plucking - Pluck feathers from brids to use the feathers.

    Mount breeding/Animal Breeding - Breed Animals

    Gathering - Gathering herbs, picking fruits.

    Farming - Growing of crops, watering them, processing of cow manure to bio-fuel.

    Mining - Mining ore, processing of archium.

    Machinery - Crafting of siege weapons, agricultural machines, boats, gliders.

    Fishing - Catching fish

    Larceny - Purchasing of foreign goods, harvesting "other" plants, degrading "other" trees.

    Defining your Character in these Schools

    **It is exactly the same as the Crafting School

    Language School

    These are more for fun than anything serious, but if you do decide to go down this path you are again bound by the labour system. In order to get these you have to do a long line of quests and learn the languages of different races and cultures.

    Language School Jobs

    Printing - Decrypting/replicating of plans, decipherer of ancient documents, master of languages from all continents.

    Composing - Create your own music (it uses midi files)

    LAST BUT NOT LEAST !!!!!

    All Schools that use the labour system(Everything except for the Fighting Schools), you can level up 5 to Apprentice level, from which 4 can be Journeyman level, from which 3 can be Expert level, and from which you can level up 2 to be Master level, per character.

    When you have a job on higher level, the labour consumption is less for the activities within that job. In some cases new recipes will open up, to collect/mine certain resources a higher level of job is needed, to craft certain things a higher level of job is needed, to use certain items a higher level is needed as well. Also in case of gathering you have better chance of getting rare resources, in case of crafting you have a better chance to craft more rarer items. And there are some other perks as well.

    Changes nothing, ArcheAge is still a bad game.
    Nobody plays this game in Korea anymore, only Bots running around.

    Trion would do best if they only concentrate on Rift 3.0 and ignore this crap...

    Hard to understand that some people are so hyped by this....

    Interesting.....

    How long have you played it to be so sure about your facts? What server were you on?

    You talk like someone who has played, so please back it up or move on. Not sure what world you live in to expect Trion to support a single game for years especially since the games are VASTLY different and will attract different player bases.

    Anyway, I would love to hear your in-game experiences that got you to such a firm opinion...

    @Requiemstorm - Great job man! Good info for many to know!

    Since you have so much time to post here about ArcheAge, I'm surmising that either Rift is just not enough to keep you happy and you have to much free-time, Jake Song slept with your sister and you're really bitter or you see that there is something coming that will be levels above Rift. Hmmm...

    I guess it's good for all involved that you aren't employed by Trion Worlds.

    It's hard for us to understand how one person can be so bitter towards something that has nothing to do with them.
