I preordered. Yeah I know, I won't make that mistake again. The discount on the season pass being limited to prerelease only was cute. Seems Trion knew how people would react. At least I passed on that.

That was a steam only discount, not Trion discount.

There are thousands of people enjoying Defiance, I'm sure there are others like you that simply did not enjoy the game either. If you cannot get a refund, count your losses and move on.

Trion sets the discount. This is the 1st time I've known preorder bonuses to expire before the game was released. I really do not think Steam made them do this. Obviously Trion was not confident in people's reactions.

As for cutting my losses, I don't really have much choice do I? But shame on Trion for releasing such a half baked game. I mean have you played it? It's pretty bad...some of the worst ai and quest structure I've ever seen.

Steam regularly does 48-72 hour sales on their own, and unless we see a statement from Trion saying it was their idea, it was the retailer's choice to sell the product at such a discount. Trion doesn't set the exact amount a store can sell something for, otherwise the store itself would make absolutely 0% in profit.
