Is there a good headset that is between $20-$30? I really want one to use Ventrilo.

For years I have used Logitech. Have never had any issues with them myself. Good quality mic and speakers.

I know Logitech has some decent ones for 30$ ..... If you have the money I would spend a bit more on a headset if sound quality is a must... my carcharias from razer was 80$ and WELL worth it, but yeah check out logitech good luck

I'm sure you can find a good deal as well in that range-ish.

Note that if you are going to play for more than a few hours you really want an over the ear type one. The flat ones will smoosh your ears and hurt after a pretty short while.

I won some Creative Labs Fatal1ty gamer ones ($45) and they are pretty good. I can go about 6-8 hours before they start to bug me.

Do you really need a headset though? Couldn't you just get a mic?

If it's just for ventrilo you really can use anything that's out there.

I've been looking some at steelseries Siberia v2. Havn't tried them anywhere tho, but ppl seem to be really pleased with them. Might buy them when I get some extra cash. Dunno how much they are in USA tho.

Those Log G330s are what I use. I purchased them a few months ago. I like them and they are very comfortable. I wear glasses so I needed a good fit. They sound good and work nice with my IMac 27"on both Win7 and Mac snow leopard OSs. They do filter out background noise which I like, but at the same time, I can hear my phone ring.

    Default sound

The logitec wireless ones are awesome but the previous poster was right.... if you use them continuouslyfor more than an hour or two you feel like your head was in a vice. Sound quality is amazing though and the microphone piece flips up and out of your way when you don't need it. Expensive though

As I mentioned before, I had a type like that G330 before the ones I have now. While it's fine for an hour or two that flat speaker design smooshes your ears. It's ok for a while, but after a bit it hurts. Unless you don't plug in the headphones and just plug in the mic port and rest it on your neck, you may want to consider an over the ear type. (And again, if you are doing this you should just get a mic instead of a headset. No point smashing your ears at all if you don't need to.)

Does Headphones work for just listening to Ventrilo?I might just get one if I'm not required to speak in Ventrilo.

    Is this what you mean?

I quite like the Sennheisser PC151, comfortable, good quality sound and mic. I've have a lot of issues with the logitech headsets due to rubbish build quality, dunno how their latest line work but the ones with the fob like volume switch for me died VERY fast.
