I think computer companies should thank gaming companies for keeping them in business lol.

They should give discounts for parts before games come out to be serious. I would love to see computer companies sponsoring gaming companies! Cool ATI/AMD or Intel/Nvidia sponsoring Trion!

Actually... they do sponsor gaming companies already. Which is why you see the nVidia decals on boxes or a short intro video when loading up a game.

Seconded, no reason not to get a Sandy Bridge CPU right now. Also, Rift is an nVidia game and as such, nVidia cards seem to be performing better than similarily-priced ATI cards so far.

If you want to stay with an AMD/Nvidia setup I would say upgrade to an AMD x6 1090T CPU with a MSI NF980-G65 motherboard.

IMO, people aren't filthy rich and can't afford overpriced equipment.

In this case don't place the fan in the side panel, it will work against you vga card.

If you can place it directly in front the vga card. (on the short side, so it will blow over the card up and down)
This will give a air flow from front and up and out the back.

If you place it in the side you will push hot air around the card and what will also raise you ram and cpu temp after abit.

The better flow the cooler system.

I imagine both of your rigs should be able to handle the game "Well" and "Very Well" respectively.

everyone please go contribute to the thread in my sig.
