    ok which one will be better for this game on max settings?
    AMD Radeon HD 6970 - 2GB
    or
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 - 1.2GB - EVGA Superclocked

    both will later on have a twin in either crossfire or sli

    You could run 2 crysis on 2 screens... in ultra...

    with both cards.

    No but seriously ehm, AMD cards like Anti Aliasing ... so you could run on ultra with it easy, but the truth is... these cards are powerfull enough with the right pc to run Rift on Ultra with no problem!

    Both of those cards will easily play Rift on max settings without a second card, but currently the beta is optimized more for NVidia than ATI.
    its = possessive, it's = it is | whose = possessive, who's = who is | your = possessive, you're = you are | too = also or too much, to = to go or to do, two = 2 | their = possessive, there = a place, they're = they are | than = comparative, then = deals with time

    LOL....too funny! I just finished a 12 hour research session regarding this EXACT dilemma. The funny part is, both neX!Tem and Brangdha told you the exact same thing that it took me 12 hours of research to figure out.

    nvidia as Trion has partnered with them. nvidia based cards will therefore be more optimized and run better with Rift.

    GeForce.com recently had the opportunity to interview Trion Worlds designer Nick Mcdowell on massively-multiplayer online role-playing game Rift: Planes of Telara.

    Being designed by industry veterans, Trion Worlds is striving to deliver a complete and polished experience for the avid MMO fan. As a plus for GeForce card owners, Rift will come out under NVIDIA's "The Way It's Meant to be Played Banner," which means the game will support GeForce-only graphical features like PhysX. "
