So, what do you guys listen to?
rock? pop? rap? country? metal? whatever genre you would classify radiohead as (indy i guess??)?

personally, i prefer symphonic power metal

so what are you guys into? do you listen to it while playing rift, or do you just use the in game music?

Ah power metal is always great for gaming <3 though the only power metal band music I own is firewind and I havent listened to them in ages xD

I'm not really into a band right now just listen to everything I got on shuffle, bunch of random metal stuff.

I usually listen to stuff on shuffle but only when solo/casual/not watching a vid. Which wont happen that much in rift when im gunna be on voicechat, though sometimes if I get really into some music ill be sure to put it on mega quiet in the background

I pretty much always have ingame music off, sometimes I really like it but it gets in the way for me, I prefer ambience anyway (yay for spelling).

Metal from the 70s and 80.. i guess early 90s?, some later stuff but not much. Vocals always were the worst part of popular music but it used to be easier to just ignore the people singing and listen to the music, not as easy these days=P

Various sorts of folk music (im into russian romance and gypsie music right now, i also enjoy tuvan throat singing)
    Examples:

    I like baroque

    I like opera.

I can listen to viking metal sometimes, if I'm in the mood. Turisas, Eluveitie, and Midnattsol are about all I listen to.

Dude Achilles... what's with you and the haiku speak man? That contest ended back in December... You not gonna win a VIP key that way.

    Anyways

    Music...

I love everything from death metal to classical (as well as bands like Epica which combine BOTH!)
    reggae to bluegrass

the only things I can stand in very small amounts would be hardcore hiphop, country, and bubblegum pop a la Britney and so on.

Pretty much if it is unusual, obscure, mind opening music I am all over it. I love world fusion as a new genre!

Latest bands I am really digging now are jambands such as moe. and string cheese incident. Ozrick Tentacles is another really off the wall one I recommend.

My heart and soul will always belong to both metal and reggae.

I like music thats a little slower usually.. But I do have my times where heavy (not metal though) does just fine..

I usually won't settle for gurgles and grunts.. I like clearly spoken lyrics in songs that have them.. I also like to have a message, although it doesn't have to always appear clear, a little thinking never hurt anyone..

Here's an easy one to figure out to get you started:

Almost anything goes, but hardly listen to rap etc.

Usually goes with different kinds of metal and rock.

Lately Nick Cave and Neil Young.
