    Default wondering where can i sell my old computer

    come march whe i get my taxes im builing a new computer and i dont know what to do with my 4 year old alienware, i dont know where to go (if anywhere) to sell it. any help would rock.

    heres the specs

    amd athlon 64 x2 dual core 5200, 2.6ghs
    4 gig ram
    500 gb hd
    8800gt nvidia 512
    monitor hp w19

    As mentioned, Ebay and Craigs ARE the sites to use.

    Though I have to say, even though that is an older core and should be replaced, be aware that with a GPU upgrade you can probably still fair reasonably well with current games.

    You aren't going to get much for that PC. Maybe $200?

    IMO, you would be better served giving it to a kid in your family or keeping it as a backup rig. Going thorugh the hassle of wiping the HDD and dealing with potential buyers likely isn't worth it.

    Oh, and don't waste your money this time by buying another Alienware.

    Probably closer to $300-400 depending on the area. Monitors new are about $150-200 depending, cases around $50 for the cheapest, averaging around $80-100 for gamer type, and power supplies are solid unless they are vastly under powered. That's a lot of value right there, not counting the fact that the core and GPU are solid very low level gaming specs even for today.

    I would, however, recommend doing a C: format and wiping the drive completely and selling it without an OS if you aren't selling/giving it to someone you already know.
