    Default G510 + g13

Hi I just bought a G510 to replace my G15 and I am planning on buying a G13 for the extra buttons. My question is people say to cast spells they press buttons like Alt+1-0 to cast spells and skills. But if I get the G13 am I able to skip the Alt part and just press G1-18 or if i ad the G13 also extra buttons on there or am I not able to USE the G510 and G13 at the same time in Rift Do I have to Choose G510 or G13 ?

Bind Alt or the Shift modifiers to a mouse button that way Alt+1 or Alt+E is easier depending on how your keyboard and hand are.

You can program the Macro keys on the keyboard and mouse to emulate any series of button presses and even add delays although if you go too far you might open yourself up for discipline action. I limit myself to casting one ability per macro button to keep clear but I honestly don’t know Trions official policy on macro buttons.

Maybe open a support ticket and ask would be your best bet.

good one. But still I wonder if a lot of G keys isn't faster

Niiiice! I feel so silly, I have the simplest mouse in the world, and I love it. It's a logitech of some type- it's SO old I can't even find it anywhere anymore, and I have ONE left for when the one I have now finally dies. It's 6 buttons, the traditional 3 including the scroll wheel, with one on the left and two buttons on the right.

Depends on the class and how many binds it needs. When I played my Hunter in WoW, I needed to use the Alt and Shift modifiers even if I had something like the G13.

Because Razer does not cater to my personal needs in HIDs. In fact I find their products to be less than adequate. Iver tried several options and I still think my second gen G15 and my G9x to be superior in every regard to any other option.

    More buttons =/= better.

Wireless, imo, is just not as responsive/reliable as wired.

I didn't check to see if the game recognized G keys, but will give it a go next beta. I just kinda got used to games not using the actual keys and programming the alt/shift + key thing.

    That's exactly what I use - G9X and G15.

Never have any issues playing ANY games, and always used wired mouse/keyboard.
