    When I need to study, I look for stuff that doesn't have much in the way of lyrics.

    I recommend Groove Salad from http://somafm.com/

    Some other good stations there too.

    Anything classical is a safe bet.

    Start a Pandora station with "Explosions in the Sky" and "Yndi Halda" as seeds. Excellent mellow instrumental rock. The intensity sometimes builds, but it's not too heavy. Lack of vocals makes it so there's less to distract you.
