Default To all who enjoy rap

Only click if you like rap music. I understand that alot of you don't, and that's ok.

    INB4 racial comments - I'm a white 23 year old.

Let's Go - Travis Barker featuring Yelawolf, Twista, Busta Rhymes & Lil Jon.

Just found out about it, and thought it was insane how fast they can talk.

Also - I want whatever Yela is on.

Rap would be an awesome art-form...if it weren't blatantly vulgar. But I blame that on the lack of originality and creativity in these so-called "rap artists." "Crap-artists" would be more like it.

Busta Rhymes is the only good rapper in that whole track. Lil Jon absolutely ruins every song he's featured on.

In your short, I'd only listen to that song for Busta's verse.

I'd agree that Busta is the only one worth mentioning in that song.

Check out my youtube channel. I got a few Busta songs remixed. I produce hip hop beats in my spare time

But to the one saying rap is all vulgar...I'll say it like Andre Benjamin from Outkast: "I met a critic and made her **** her drawers. She said she thought hip hop was only guns and alcohol. I said oh hellll naw, but yes it's that too. But you cant discriminate cuz you done read a book or 2"

Basically...Hip hop has grown so much that the truelly GOOD lyricists are buried underneath really bad rappers like Lil Wayne. Some of the best rappers out there are nothing but positive messages. Unfortunately a lot of people put all "rappers" in the same category when the reality is...There's NO WAY some of the positive artists out there should be compared to all the negativity. It's completely unfair to them as artists.

Here's a prime example of real hip hop. K-OS ~ The Love Song

Now listen to the same song performed live with all acoustic and percussion instruments. Pure genius. K-OS ~ The Love Song ~ live 2nd verse is freestyle lol.

He's Canadian. Listen to the lyrics. He's a diamond in the rough. Lyrical genius. Yeah us Canadians have kept hip hop real over the years whereas the majority of American hip hop artists are complete garbage.

edit: Some people literally cant even understand what is said in rap songs. They have such selective hearing that ALL they hear is the cuss words and completely disregard the context.

Here's another genius. One of the American gems.

Immortal Technique ~ The 4th Branch

This is where REAL hip hop shines. Political and religious lyrics.

"Just cuz i wont trade humanity for patriotism"

Yeah, there's some vulgar words. But it's justified! Listen to the context! It's a song that hits hard and to me is something everyone should hear and understand.

I was referring to lyrics used in the rap industry as a whole. I wasn't referring to any one clip.

Good rap is very deep and meaningful poetry. The best lyricists are gifted with words and rhyming. Like Eminem...Sure he has some ridiculous topics he raps about but he's literally a genius with words. When someone can learn to appreciate rap as poetry REGARDLESS of what it is about, they will understand it as an art.
