They've got that Headstart thing too with the pre-orders so it's going to be pretty packed.

"Those who have pre-ordered the game and entered their pre-order code on StarWarsTheOldRepublic.com are eligible for Early Game Access."

From what I read before they are (were) limiting the amount of people allowed in the Headstart or something.. dunno if that's changed so you might want to check that out.

It is based on when you placed the order or so bioware claims I will let you know if this is in fact true I pre-ordered two ce copies one in the last week and the other the day they came availble. When I placed my first order it was seven days before the start date now who knows.

So...what's the point of this thread. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be arguing about. And isn't this basically "advertising" another MMO?

Off topic.. comparing prices to prices.

Sorry you couldn't get that. I'll try to make my future OP's less wordy.

I pre ordered on the day they released it for sale so hopefully ill get in.

I had an e-mail today saying official release is 22.12.2011 so im presuming this is the actual release and not the headstart?
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Yeah, that's a downer for me too because I sure would have gotten one. I get Lifetimes whenever I can after passing on it at LOTRO launch. It's just too good a value for me to pass up anymore.

I even got the DCUO Lifetime for $200 and I'm happy about that very much.

I've seen people say, and I agree, that very few MMOs will offer Lifetimes anymore due to the rise of FTP and Freemium games. Companies are locked into what they can charge people with a Lifetime but with a FTP/Freemium you either have them pay month to month for full product or spend in the cash shop to open zones/classes/areas.

I would not expect to see another AAA Lifetime sub in any mmo worth anything for a long time again. There's no longer an upside to it for companies. It's exactly why RIFT didn't have one.

You know I've noticed you (or your other half) knocking other games for the 12 and up rating.....you do realize that your precious ToR will most likely have that rating too, right? EA would be stupid to make it a mature game if they seriously want to take a piece of the mmo pie from WoW or even if they just want to recoup their costs considering they have sunk so much money into this game.

I guess I did get it then--I just couldn't believe it was worth making a topic over.

Uhhm. Sorry if you're actually offended. I don't really see it in an offensive way, considering the context is video games.
