    Default Would you play?

This is off topic, so I'm sure it will get moved..

Would you play a MMO, that is a sci-fi military theme? It would be PvPvE with 3 player factions, including multiple NPC factions.. A total of 9 races to start (3 per faction).. Advancement will be a combination of Profession level and career rank.. There would be 8 starting professions such as machine gunner, medic or K-9 specialist.. The game would not be gear focus, instead would rely more on character skill.. The focus is to increase career rank along with winning as many of the medals and ribbons as you can (HUNDREDS available). Some parts of the game will require personal bots.. (similar to battle mechs) Customize and build your own.. This would be Star Wars meets Battle Mech meets Call of Duty meets Eve type of game..

OH.. and it would take MONTHS for the most die hardcore players to reach max career rank.. Average player would take a couple years or longer

warhammer 40k mmo yes please. Every game needs more orky dakka. Also ork guilds should be able to create their own weapons(within reason of course) because of their waaaagh awesomeness I believe this stick can be a lightsabre and so do all the other boyz!

Military = Women will not play it, which means families will not play it like typical mmos and the game will barely crack 20,000 players ever.

Any game that requires 6+ months of grinding to reach max level is terrible in my book.

I'm not interested in Sci Fi really... unless it is an extremely futuristic sci-fi with a Tron look to the game... that being said, I am going to try SWTOR... Which is sort of fantasy/sci-fi.

    I would try.

Dont mind if it takes me 6 months to reach max level. I love when a game comes to skill and not to gear.

My favorite games are the Battlefield series and I was always in top 3 players in games.

But the sci-fi side of it might be something unpleasent. Seen a lot of Sci-fi games and I never liked em enough to play in the long term. Would definitly try for a couple days.

    Default Willing

I'm willing to try it, there is not much MMO wise which I have not tried and de-installed at least once. I wouldn't be much of a beta tester otherwise.

    Stereotype much?

I've always loved war movies; I'm former Navy and current Army.

No, the thing that would keep me out is the Sci-Fi part. I can't stand most Sci-Fi; the "science" rarely has any basis in reality. I can overlook little details like ignoring the laws of physics in a fantasy game, but never in a Sci-Fi game.
