Theres nothing too good to mention really, its really over-rated game but I think I finally figured it out why some people like it and its competitive arena PVP , something like in WoW, so that sure explain all this GW2 trolling in this forum.

Guild Wars PvP makes WoW look like a bunch of angry special ed kids with sticks. You really should play it atleast once. GW2 should be even better.

Build diversity actually exists, group-based balance is usually excellent, skill is useful vs spam/spec, actual tactics have a large effect, communication is great between players and tactics are used frequently in PUGs.

I see now. Interesting to see what happens. most competitive players are playing shooters. I personally think APB reloaded is going to make GW2 look like children garden for ******ed kids. APB Reloaded is just hardcore.

Guild Wars was awesome. I didn't even mind the instanced world.

This could not be further from the truth. WoW pvp may have balance issues but it is more twitch based and has better movement than GW by a long shot.

GW pvp was slow paced and for people who thought they were "thinking men". In reality good pvp in an mmo should be based around reflexes + strategy, not one or the other. That's not to say GW gvg even had a stronger strategical element to it, it was actually quite redundant and cookbook.

But just like WoW arena players want to think wow arena is the most skillful mmo pvp, gw players are the same about their game. The problem with skilless games like that are that they don't teach people to understand what is truly skillful and what isn't so they just assume that what they are doing is really difficult.

It's sorta like how a WoW player that is into hardcore raiding right now might think that he is one of the best mmo raiders the world has ever seen, because he is ignorant to truly difficult raiding like people experienced early in EQ.

Guild Wars is the Duke Nuken Forever of MMOs. You hear only awesome things about it but never a release dat inspite it has been centuries since its announcement.

Will Guild Wars 2 be an MMO?
Yes. Guild Wars 2 provides a massive, online persistent world.
