RIFT European Hardware Maintenance – 1st of May 2012 – 1:00am GMT-7:00am GMT/2AM BST

Hello fellow RIFTers!

This Tuesday, May the 1st 2012, we will be performing hardware maintenance into our European datacentre that will require the RIFT services to be offline or unavailable while underway.

Maintenance window:

• 1:00am GMT – 7:00am GMT
• 2:00am BST – 8:00am BST

Affected service:

• European game shards will be offline during the maintenance window
• The blog/forums will remain available throughout the maintenance, check back for updates – as always we’ll be attempting to minimize the duration of the downtime as much as possible!

We're now underway - I'll be here all evening with any updates, if all goes as planned though you won't hear from me until we bring the shards back online. Thanks for your patience during this maintenance - we'll make it as quick as possible!

We're still in the middle of the maintenance at this point - while we wait for a more accurate ETA we're letting the team continue to keep their heads down, we'll provide another update in 1 hour from now with more details.

We're still wrapping up the maintenance and getting all the hardware back in order - once the shards are ready to be verified we'll provide an accurate ETA.

Hey guys - no new info at this time, this was a rather extensive operation with a lot of moving parts. We're taking our time and doing it right - we'll provide another update in an hour or less!

We continue to move towards our end goal, but still no ETA while we work on finalizing the maintenance. We'll share additional details as soon as we get to the next step - apologies this is slower going than we had originally planned, we're doing our best to wrap it up!

Our team is still hard at work trying to get the servers up and running. Again, apologies as we still can't give an ETA on when the servers will be back, but we will keep you informed on an hourly basis.

German shards are just a few minutes behind while we get some of the new hardware up and running still - thanks once more for everyone's patience during this extended outage, it's not often we encounter significant delays such as this and we will do our best to provide more accurate ETA's when possible.
