Stare into the Abyss - Update 1.3 Arrives Tomorrow, 6/22! (6/23 in EU)

We've talked about it. You've heard about it. At last...Update 1.3 - "Waves of Madness" crashes upon our shores!

Tomorrow morning following the update at 8:00AM PDT (1:00AM BST on 6/23 for EU) the race for Telara's future will begin. The forces of Water and Death seek to drown all hope and extinguish the flame of life.

Should the Ward fall and Akylios, mad lord of the deep, escape his prison all will be consumed in the coming torrent of destruction.

It falls to you, Ascended, to bold yourselves and stand headstrong in the face of the coming tide. The hope of all rests on you - what story will history tell?

I'm so looking forward to this, it's going to be awesome Must get the pirate hat pronto, I'll look even cuter, if that's at all possible Wonder if there'll be any other cosmetic stuff, hope so.

Personally I am hoping for something with some grind, but not too much. I like a mix of effort+time = WIN, but not too much of either.

I'm just curious if the world event is gonna last all of 5 minutes again and those of us who actually try all day to participate can't because trion dropped the ball and overloaded the servers w/ users. I was rather sore and let down the last time ... of the 40 people in my guild, 2 actually participated and they said it was a huge let down. Lag galore. So my already asked but repeated question is this.

Trion, have you got your < exploitative > in gear this time? Was the out-rage from the first World Event enough to shame you into fixing things? And don't try and actually buy us off with gifts that don't go far again ... that was just a shameful slap in the face.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game immensely, it's a welcome break from the other mmo I play. I just don't want to be lead on and then let down. It's disappointing and disrespectful to us, as users.

The world event lasted two weeks. The final two stages were the ****-up, mainly because they thought the infrastructure could handle it. It did work fine on the PTS, after all. And they tested it a few times. The problem is there were too many people on basically one sqft of space in the last part, and that lagged the servers a lot. This world event won't require that, and will be much more successful. Plus they upgraded the servers.

I'm confused... Expert rifts (not raid rifts) are made for groups of 5, even though they are frequently overlooked or done in bigger groups.

So, It starts at 12:00 PM Central Time. I'm super stoked, but I work from 8 AM till 5:30 PM, so guess i'll miss it again. Am I absolutely right about the time frame? 10PDT = 12 CST?
