The state is the great fictitious entity by which everyone seeks to live at the expense of everyone else

Agreed. I don't care at all when they put it off till, but it'd nice to have at least a temporary time frame, even it's just "Next weekend" or "We'll put times up tomorrow" or something. I don't want to log off only to find I've missed it simply because I had no idea when it was happening, especially since it's a one-off event.
Something like that would definitely a be a strike towards dropping my sub, since it implies similar behavior in the future, and I don't want keep trying to make interesting events but missing them regardless.
Do what you have to Trion.
Hopefully it won't take to long to fix...ie days.
Please be nice to the trolls, it confuses them.
So can I go back to bed ?
It's 5am here... need to know if I should stay up cause it's gonna be soon or go back to bed cause it's gonna be at least hours or days :/
I no earlier than time would be great, so we can sorta schedule around this. thanks for the hard work.
They probably don't know when, and to give a timeframe now would open them up to even more criticism later if they had to push it back.
There is no indication that these were not tested, as a developer, I know sometimes things can only be brought to light in a live environment. That doesn't mean I'm happy it got delayed (or with the pathetic round of reboots during the middle of the day, yesterday), but it happens.[/QUOTE]
They do have a test server, its called alpha server and is basically a beta server, those people who preordered should have the alpha server code, eula, and alpha downloader to help play new events and patches before they are brought up live in order to catch these issues. They found the issues through that process more than likey.....
At least they saw the problem and are fixing it instead of waiting till a patch day then trying to fix it;crash the severs off and on for 2 days after patch. You decision to leave WOW was still a good one. Besides as far as bugs or problems go nothing or no one is perfect so don't cast too many stones
No you cannot replicate the same player base on an alpha server ever.
My friends and I usually get together each week at 4pm EST on Saturday. Most of us (4 out of 6) play Rift, so we changed our plans to start later. Of course we are disappointed, but hey, stuff happens, and we would rather play a high-quality event than a buggy one.
Please do not make an impromptu decision and start the event 4 hours late. Adults with real lives need to make plans with a little bit of notice.
For my 2 cents, Devs, you have a chance to do it right, and do it BETTER. The second stage of this important event should last more than a few hours. Declare ALL HANDS ON DECK, get your best people on it, and give us a Stage 2 that will last a few DAYS, like maybe Friday thru Sunday/Monday. If you do that, and it comes off well, no one will remember the buggy non-start and everyone will remember how you recovered, and came out smelling like roses.
