How do I break down gear?

Last time I played, I could break down gear. (i.e. cloth armor breaks down to cloth and remnants). I can't figure out how to do it with the current system. Help please!

They removed that feature from the game. The only things you can break down now is gear for runecrafter and artifacts for dream weaver.

As stated, all that is gone. Now you get gray vendor trash.
