fresh level 50

Hey everyone, I'm new to rift and just dinged 50. I've done the chronicles and experts and bought all the gear I can buy with plagues and beads etc. however m far off from being ready to raid for example hammerknell.
How do I go about getting into raids? Do I really need to wait months to get enough MoA from dungeons to get the gear I need to get into those raids?

Running t1 raids doesnt really seem like an option. People only seem to run them for the weekly quests..

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Look for a guild just starting with raiding, that will need to do raid rifts and T1 stuff. That would be my advice.

You need to get enough hit/focus (through the sources you already listed) to enter the GsB, RoS, DH, GP raids. They are usually pugged all the time on my shards. They will get you geared up enough to find a guild that raids HK.

Edit - Don't forget to fill out a good sigil with bought lesser essences, so farm up the inscribed for that.

I've been playing since release, so I can't say much of personal experience but I'll pass on the story of someone I met in game about 4 weeks ago.

4 weeks ago I ran into level 38 or 39 cleric while I was leveling my rogue alt. He was healing up a storm in dungeons and we got along pretty well, so we kept talking after the run. We leveled relatively quickly to 50 thanks to IAs, so it only took maybe 2 or 3 more days to get there.

Immediately after hitting 50 he started running regulars for focus gear, and spent any plat he had to spare on the AH for focus gear. Within a day he had the 100 he needed for experts. So he started running experts.

Maybe it was lucky drops, maybe he farmed plat on the side... I dunno, but less than a week after that he had 200 focus and was sitting in DH and GP, both Tier 1 raids. Two weeks after that... he's already healing for a 5/11 HK PUG.

Will it be the same for you? Maybe. Maybe not. It certainly wasn't that way for my rogue alt! He hasn't even set foot in DH yet lol. But the point I am making is that if you really focus on that specific task of getting into raids, you'll be able to do it pretty quickly I'd imagine.
