    Exclamation What needs to happen in 5.0

    Gear should no longer be classed based meaning any class can equip any equipment, though some weapons will be exempt from this due to both Warriors and Clerics needing a Shield to block with; though I hope that this will be fixable.

    The stats themselves will need changing on gear to help reflect this, meaning that no piece will have Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom or Attack/Spell Power any more; they will be replaced with Primary, Secondary and Power. Armor will also need to be adaptable to match the class that is equipping.

    Hit should also be removed completely, replacing the requirement needed to damage an enemy with Power.

    Gear should have a max level requirement too, due how stats are going up currently.
    Back in vanilla 1k damage used to be good for raiding however over time that has gone up to 200k in 4 expansions, will future expansions mean you need 1 million or even 1 billion damage.
    Which to me is just a unrealistic number to be heading to.

    A max level requirement will stop this completely allowing you to go back and start from scratch and avoid adding endless zeros that will create new problems in the long run.


    Npcs should have the same statistics as Players, so what is true for a player is true for the Npc. Though the Npc will have a greater value for difficulty. This will bridge the gap between PvP and PvE allowing for a simpler adjustment needed to make the game enjoyable in both aspects.

    Primary stat will provide 0.75 Power and 0.5% Critical Hit Chance
    Secondary stat will provide 0.25 Power and 0.5% Critical Hit Chance
    Endurance stat will provide 10 Health.

    Block and Dodge needs to be able to counter both Physical and Non-Physical damage, it’s unreasonable that you can only counter Physical damage.


    Planar Fragments need to be scrapped completely from future content, as it adds a ridiculous requirement needed just to reduce have much coin currency players have.

    Instead every new expansion should add a new coin currency, which will solve all problems for new and existing players. Though the previous coin currency will be converted, when the cap is added, so players who spent a long time collecting will receive a head start in the new expansion for a time.


    Past content needs to scale with the player and reward the player with the appropriate reward of their level. So mentoring is no longer a choice all zones lower the player stats to where they need to be for it to be a challenge, though they should receive a bonus if their real level is higher than zone just to enough to make it a little bit easier.

    This should also be true for instances having them mentor the player down.
    So for Experts and Raids you should be playing the way they were meant to be played without needing into reinvent them again and again to attract new players. Remove the restriction of only playing raids once a week as well, as they should be enjoyable and not be designed around the 1% of hardcore raiders that still remain (if any still do).

    PvP instances should also mentor the player down between Level 10-19, so no matter the level everyone can join a game creating a greater pool to drawn from.


    A new Ascended Power ability should be added to all classes so you no longer have to buy and carry drinks around:

    Ascended Restoration - 10s Channel
    Restores 10% of Maximum Health and 10% Mana, Energy or Power every second. Allows for movement. Cannot be used in Combat or PvP instances.

    So you want a long time player to be stripped of all platinum he has?
    No, thank you. It is hard enough to get it, and we already got currencies removed, without any replacement, or a ridiculous one. This always feel bad.

    NO.
    Player's choice only. Why remove the possibility to solo old content? this is fun for many players.
    And people hunting artifacts or collecting resources in lower zones usually don't want to have to fight their way through the whole map.

    And you make cooking useless?

    You usually give good suggestions, but almost everything in this post is removing content. Not needed.
