Thread: Make the grind bearable/ catch-up for weapon

    Default Make the grind bearable/ catch-up for weapon

    What we need to make the grind bearable is simple enough:

    -make all endgame content reward Intel, be it ZE in all celestial lands, celestial chronicles, daily quests, expert dungeons, raids.

    -create more weekly quests related to current content.

    -Create a catch-up mechanic for the eternal weapon grind. We are far enough in the expansion to do what WOW did with the same thing. This is needed for new players, and for more casual players. We know time gating was here to prevent rushers to do it in some days, but the rushers did it, and now all players need something more friendly.

    Ideas I have:

    At wicket stage, give choice: you do wicket (but wicket becomes a normal minion, not the one with half stamina he is, this change alone would make it quicker to level), OR you do the 3 particles quests (15-20-25). Particles are removed from other stages, and this gives a quick way for people loving puzzle games, or a longer but easy way.

    At dungeons stage, reduce to 30 experts.
    At T1 raid stage, make Arakurn AND Malannon NM count. Reduce to 10 raid bosses.

    The grind is already bearable, i was able to finish wicket in a month, 1k invasions in less than 20 mins, 50 ZE boss grind in a day, 100 SPE grind AND the eternal stage AFTER that in 4 Days and 16 high priest bird stage this week and i began this in June

    This is too easy, you just need to have patience which seems that alot of people who complain in game dont have.

    So you did it in 5 months and you are in rush mode (doing 100 experts in 4 days is not what most people can do). So you think it is good to have to grind for MINIMAL 5 months for a new player begining now to catch current content?

    Problem is not the rushers like you, problem is players that begin the grind now, and more casual players who are far behind. If they have to wait 5 more months to play engame, they will never catch up. And many will leave.

    And why that's bad? Grind is a main content in Rift now (and it only became worse with each update), so if you cannot take it - better to leave early.
