    Default scaling mount speed

I really love my chocolate horse. My unarmored yarnosaur too. I wish I could ride them, but they just can't provide the speed that my 110 mounts give me. Trion, would you ever consider implementing a way to scale these lower mounts to match the speed of the higher ones? I'm thinking level 50 toon only here, not account-wide. That would be a bit entitlement-y.

I'd pay for it. Plat, I mean. Real cash shop money would be nuts.

Per mount? Per 5 mounts? Per the whole stable?

I'd do a fun (but probably stressful as timed stuff makes me a nervous wreck) racing quest.

I know it's fluff and you guys are working on actual stuff like balance, mechanics, bugs, and pvp and all that. So please believe me when I say I'm really not trying to be selfish when I say that my chocolate horse would go SO well with my black black robes, my black crow, and my undead minion Expendable. (he was the one who told me to ask about this. I promise.)

But as a Necrolock I do have an image to upkeep, and I have heard rumblings about that others would enjoy this feature someday too. Thanks for reading.

Yours in undeat- I mean, Yours in the Vigil,

+500 Rift forum points. Shun micro transactions and account-wide entitlement in one post while nailing a solid idea I've personally thought of suggesting.

One of the rare ideas I've yet to hear an argument against.

On the other hand, as soon as you say flying mount you get about 50 people descending in saying they're a bad idea. Not that I disagree with the arguments against them, just find it funny.

This suggestion is as cool as Violacea's Current sig.

I want all my mounts to match max speed. If not, Give us a legit reason why.

The argument I've seen is that some people play with lower level friends, and their mounts can't keep up.

Other than that great idea imo. I like the starting horses. Giddy up!

Isnt there a party /raid buff that addresses that issue?

actually it isn't. you can mentor down at any time- solo, to play with 1, 2, 3, friends, or IAs!

but their speed matches yours, I believe.

Yup, this is true. If you have someone mentored down and you have a slower mount, you gain a buff that makes your mount the same speed as the fastest mentored down member. Too bad it only applies if there is someone that is mentored down. If it was automatic during IAs the 44-50 IA would be much more enjoyable for those with slower mounts.

Has been proposed before, and am still in favor of it.
    shouldn't be to hard, just:"

Scale all mounts towards the fastest mount you have. So you have to buy the fastest mount once, which will make all your mount that speed. I am no mount-collector, dont care for fluff-stuff, but stil I would like to use them all. Just for the sake of variation.
    Not account-wide, per toon offcourse

I think it should be a setting for mounts and you just buy the upgrade for the speed. Then go into options and set a mount speed. Sometimes you really do need a slow mount.

Or separate the Mount Speed purchase from the Mount purchases themselves. With no Mount Speed purchase, your mounts (all of them) are at 60%. Make the current 90%+ or scaling ones a bit cheaper to accomodate this fact. Then you buy the first mount speed upgrade at 25 and suddenly all your mounts are 90%. Then you buy the second at 50 and all your mounts are 110%.
