    Default Conquest Suggestion

    once again please make the queue for conquest random.

    in my cluster...

    1. queue nightfall for favor

    2. queue oathsworn for marks and to win

    3. queue dominion....................

    i only play nightfall. i have gone from rank 18 to rank 41 in less than 3 days. sometimes the queue times for nightfall are good, sometimes you can never get in. there is a mentality that has developed...

    nightfall = pvp
    oathsworn = pve
    dominion =

    conquest would be much more fair, balanced, and fun for everyone if the queues were random.

    agreed, like in many other threads Conquest needs to have a Random Queue on a population balance, with small amounts of "bolstering" when when pop get slightly off balance from somebody not in game for w/e reason.

    Also.. perhaps something more of an incentive for playing the objective part of the game in the first place. I pose you set aside anything a player is "earning" in cq into his ow little pool, which he will get at the end, BUT, winning grants you 100% of what you earned, while losing the mach grants you significantly less reward. perhaps.. only 10% of your total earnings. Failing to meet an objective timer should also penalize total rewards, perhaps -10% for failing foci, and -10% for not killing Boss in time. only earning 10% of total for leaving early also.

    Doing this will hopefully stop the 3-5 hour games of merry-go-cap.

    also.. we need more incentive to do other things.. like... killing the players during foci phase. Making the end boss Significantly more difficult when he spawns may cause that winning team to kill as many players as possible during foci, as it should be, and not the way it is now.

    Game starts, we spend hours trying to grind the kill count down to 0 while preventing other teams from hitting 60%.

    10minute counter starts.. only then do people attempt to win via map control.

    Foci phase.. here people don't focus on killing players to reduce boss hp pool, nor do they focus on killing foci and instead chose to run to each one for "tagging" and then on to the next.. seldom do people actually do any pvp at this point, high-fiving each other as they tag foci.

    and then.. the last part, the boss, here everybody tags the boss.. and then focuses, only then, to kill each other.. well after the fact of foci phase.. where killing during boss has no effect to the boss, often times resulting in a timer fail.. but since there is no repercussion enough nobody cares if he dies after the timer.

    A ton of other issues, lemme sober up and come back.

    It seems the largest problem that the check and balance system is completely ****ed. You cant have balance when one team (Dom) on my server group cant do anything.

    Balance is good if the game is played during the USA day. Maybe a little too good based on the almost 9 hour game last Friday.

    However with CM being pretty much exclusively NF territory at the start of the game then flipping for short times if they are not paying attention those 8 extractors can be quickly won by NF to get to 60% in less than 5 minutes.

    Oathsworn deal with their huge cliff of death and various other fall-death traps and a large number of extractors so easily accessible from NF base by running up the cliff to them.

    Dominion have their swathe poached by both NF and Oath

    One possibility will be to remove even more extractors, maybe ALL of CM so it's dead ground.

    If the fight is just around the eye/tt/baren/deaths approach, maybe ruston and kingsgate and the two extractors outside cm then those advantages and disadvantages are gone.

    Of course, during the US day people wouldn't notice this, they can play for 3 hours at 35/33/30 but come 4am those 10 minute games really blow.

    it really should be easy enough to simply rotate the queue, 1 per faction as they line up, bolster if x faction drops below another factions pop.. (because people do leave or d/c)

    Dominion = for people to be able to join in the end when timer starts counting down, to kill the foci and boss and to make the final battle (that is actually the most fun battle of all in a conquest) that happens around the boss in the end.

    That 10 minute "endgame" ruins the whole conquest actually. It makes no sense. Let people play to win from the beginning. The one getting to 61% should just win the thing. (besides that 90% of the players dont even get it, they didnt lose when one side has reached 61%).

    Increase the 10 Minute reward by 2x to 3x and you prbly already set. Give Marks every 10 minutes too and increase reward for capturing and leveling objectives and towers. Increase hp of leveled up towers.

    Completly delete the foki.

    If you desperatly want a pve endboss in pvp then make it a defend/attack scheme not a everyone who tags the boss gets 5 mark scheme. Same for the kollossi during the conquest. Only make 1, and one faction has to defend him, others have to kill him within 10 Minutes.

    About conquest I have not played it yet but look foward to doing so. I think I will play dominion as that fits me from a rp perspective.

    I don't believe in forced random queues as a solution to the current woes of conquest. Different people prefer to play differently, and most choose their faction based on their preferences. Take that away and you further erode the reasons for even joining conquest. Some of us have friends with whom we play regularly, real life best friends, etc., and throwing us into different groups to kill each other would only serve to stop us from queuing altogether.

    Let's face it, a lot of people are there for no other reason than to farm marks for the CQ trinkets which aren't available on the PVE side. Make equivalent versions available in PVE and all the people that don't want to PVP can earn it in a fashion they enjoy rather than becoming a burden to the fighting factions.

    Are you sick of the PVEers attacking the mini bosses in the middle of the game, leaving your team short while you lose extractors across the map? Remove the minis! They serve no purpose except to distract and cripple the team with the most lemmings who rather fight a PVE mob in a PVP game.

    If Trion insists on having the minis in the game, at least allow us the utility to kick from the raid those that are fighing the minis away from the group. If our team is going to be left undermanned, allow us to free up the spots taken by the mini attackers, and replace them with available fighters/merge with other groups to facilitate group healing in battle. As it stands now, the mini bosses pop us, 1/3 of the group runs off, half the people that are left are in a different group and don't get group healed, and we can't kick the mini attackers because they're "in combat." That needs to be fixed.

    In my opinion other worthwhile improvements would be to reduce the number of extractors by 50%, AND make captured extractors invulnerable to recapture for 10 minutes. This would prevent the back capping merry go round that annoys us all and improve each extractor points tactical value. Fewer extractors would lead to more direct confrontations with other groups, and help to work the kill count down faster. Isn't that what we all want?

    Finally, rework the whole Foci capping mess at the conclusion of conquest. Remove the multiple death focus spawns, and make ONE boss spawn at a random location. That would keep the teams together and pull ALL conquest players into one location for a final three way death match.
