I got into a coversation with a GM the other day and I can't remember why, but we started talking about the beautiful and unique sky theme that appears during Conquest. I think it's absolutely AMAZING! After thinking about it for a bit, I realized, wouldn't it be neat if the sky always looked like that at night? Or maybe if we could use a telescope to view it?
And then it occured to me...maybe we actually COULD do that! With Astrology. A secondary profession that involves the sky and stars and planets. We could use various mechanical tools (defiant) or divine inspiration (guardian) to view the cosmos.
The uses? Well we could take a reading of our own specific birth stars and depending on the alignments we could get certain buffs from it. We could use it to get certain benefits or unique abilities in different zones, depending on what stars match up with the zone, or what planets are in view. We could even use devices to harnass the star or moon light to make ourselves glow (like those little BoA event items that infuse you with energy).
We could pick a star or a birthmonth or alignment or whatever, and the alignments of the cosmos would affect or bounce off of that. Just a rather light hearted and unique profession
So, do you like the idea? Does it have merit? Or maybe I'm just a silly girl and should just stick to survival and fishing.
