Default Add Level Scaling feature for High level players please

Lower level zones become less fun for high level players because the contents becomes too easy. Please add level scaling feature for Higher level players to gain access to all zone contents. This improves the exploration of the game for high level. I understand levels are there to restrict low level players from going certain places, but shouldn't limit high levels from going back to low level zones. GW2 will be doing something similar.

could you be more specific on how this would work? would a level 15 magically turn 50 if you attacked him first? would you de-level down to 15?

personally i only quest for the story line anyways. stomping low level mobs as i progress through the story just gives me the next part quicker.

    No
The level scaling is only for high level players going into lower level zone contents (rifts, quest, etc)

Examples include nut not limited to:

*level 20 going into level 10 zone
*level 30 going into level (10,20) zone
*level 40 going into level (10,20,30) zone
*level 50 going into level (10,20,30,40) zone

The higher level player gets it's stats scaled so that they:

*take damage equivalent to the same (damage-to-health point) ratio as a player of that zone's level range would take on average attack.
*deal damage equivalent to the same (damage-to-mob health pool) ratio as a player of that zone's level range would deal to mob on attacks.

What this does is keeps all contents in the game world open to all players at higher levels.
Currently as players gain levels they also gain access to brand new areas of the world, but the trade off is that they lose older areas of the world at the same time. So truthfully, little is gained from the world, if higher levels lose contents at the same rate as gaining it.

With level scaling in place, this gives the developers the chance to add more interesting contents to the game world's lower level areas were new player are, that would also be accessible to higher level players to keep it interesting and populated. First impressions are important. This adds a lot of potential to world PvE .

well there are already parralell time lines.

maybe an airm that can transport you to paralell time line versions of low lvl zones
that have al mobs upgraded to lvl 50

ill be honest, that sounds awful. im already not getting much of anything except story line and achievements from doing low level areas, the last thing i want is for them to take as long to kill as 50's for no reason.

besides, the point of leveling up is supposed to be you "getting stronger." so when you go back to older zones, mobs that gave you a lot of trouble are now, by comparison, weaker than you. that illusion breaks when you get pwnd by some level 6 swarm near the beginning of the game.

Ive seen this done in two ways

EQ2 way, you simply drop your level and the lower person still gets XP...still overpowered.

FFXI way the zone FORCES you to drop to its level and you have to have several tiers of gear..not overpowered, but we lack bag space something fierce!

Yeah but you are already stronger cause you have more skills to use as a higher level.

This makes so all contents in the world never gets outdated to higher level players.
