    Default Weapon Appearance in Wardrobe

Any chance that "Wardrobe" includes weapon appearances?

You could put another weapon there just for looks.

    Limitations:

    - slash weapons cant have a blunt weapon in wardrobe (and so on)
    - you cant put a 1 hander in wardrobe if you're using a 2handed weapon (and so on)
    - you cant put a weapon in wardrobe that your class cant use

this works quite well in other games (eg EQ2)

    Advantages:
    - prices for low level items (just for the looks) can boost a bit the market
    - you can always have your favorite weapon looks equiped in wardrobe
    - obsolete weapons can still have a use in wardrobe (eg: the new Overgrowth blade is obsolete after rank 3 and yet hard to get)

Yes, although your Slash --> Blunt limitation is pointless imo. Weapon type dictates nothing about its ability to make things dead, so why should we be limited?

cuz a cleric using a giant 2h sword would be silly.

seriously though, i think itd be best if the wardrobe weapon type matched the weapon being used.

I support the idea because I like it....

IMHO you should wear in your wardrobe the type of weapon you equipped on your character. if you use a 2H mace, you'll need to put a 2H mace in your wardrobe. that's how I see it.

I kinda like it just showing your actual weapons, plus the fact that you can change weapons in combat would complicate things.

The ability to put a different looking armor in the wardrobe is as "silly" as putting a different looking weapon.

So if it exists for amor, why not for weapons?

Since Rift presents little choices for players to equip their favorite weapons, this would solve the problem.

Either that, or put more weapons in game equivalent to existent ones.

For instance, the 2H R7 weapon for warriors is an Axe, they should put a Hammer and Sword as well and players would choose.
