SL's new zones -- not clear to the player?
Not sure if this is an actual issue or if i've missed something, but it seems Storm Legion isn't properly communicated to the player in the way it should be.
When you finish an area, or a zone, you're told where to go for your next quest; once you hit 50, you're only told to visit Ember Isle -- an obsolescent part of the game which is mostly devoid of players.
Where are those players? In the new Storm Legion zones. How did they find out how to get there? By asking in chat, or by Googling.
I'm on a very new server, and it's reached the point where people are reaching 50 and very regularly asking "where do i quest after 50?" or "is Ember Isle the right place to level" (since it's incredibly slow to level there).
The only thing remotely pointing the player towards Storm Legion's zones is a mail-quest you receive at...level 1; and the quest is part of a long chain which seems more like a world event (like a holiday event-type thing) than a proper quest.
Worse, the quest is near-impossible to complete unless the player enters Storm Legion for its super-duper quest greens -- so to get the quest telling you to go to Storm Legion, the player has to enter Storm Legion, quest for new items, and THEN complete the bread crumbs quest which tells them to go there...
I suppose this quest would have made sense before SL was released, when everyone had their high-end raid gear, and completing the final part of the quest in the first Storm Legion instance would have been a fun challenge, but SL's been out for quite some time, and with F2P the "high-end raid gear" is almost non-existent.
As another note, it's silly that completing the SL breadcrumbs chain before 50 is detrimental to the player: it's around 5-6 quests, each rewarding 500k planar attunement; however, if completing before 50, the attunement isn't awarded...at all. That's a LOT of attunement to miss out on (or, at least, to me it is).
Thanks for reading the text wall.
TL;DR: player isn't properly told about SL unless they complete an unintuitive quest chain that essentially requires the player to have quested in SL to complete...
