    Wow.

These specs are much, much lower than I expected. It looks like Trion did a good job making the game accessible to a lot of people.

Yea, BUT I wonder what you'll need to play it on max....

And I'm just wondering but will there be a DX10 option? (that would just be awesome)

Since you have this up. I figured it would help you all if you know what systems will be playing the game... Here are the specs to my gamer..

AMD Phenom II 4X 3.0 GIG
    6 GIG 1066 DDR2 Ram
    1 ATI 5770 Video Card 1GIG Ram
    2 360 WD drives in raid 0

I tried to install the patcher using my RDP from work to the gamer computer and it crashed.. I'm betting that is because of the RDP so I'll know more when I get home.

Also, I have a Macbook Pro 15in with BootCamp (used for my second EQ2 account)
    2.4 GIG Core2 Duo
    4 GIGs 1066 RAM
    Nvidia 9800GT

I'll probably install the patcher on it and see how the Mac handles, while I will, of course, give you input... I will say that you are limiting yourselves to a certain customer base with the specs required for this game.. That, vary much, reminds me of when EQ2 came out.. Also, I've come to realize that you have a producer from EQ2 that works for you and the expansions and areas I like were of his creation.. This is a BIG PLUS in my book. Lets see how the weekends goes and best luck to us all for a successful beta test!!!

Those specs are too high? Huh?

Any PC bought off the shelf in the past 5 years will run the game if you stick an $80 GPU in it.

I hope this doesn't mean ATI cards are gonna have problems running the game. Seems like Trion is on the NVidia train. I'm tired of new games coming out only being optimized towards NVidia and the ATI crowd gets game crashes, artifacts, lockups, etc. AoC is a very big example of that.

Such a system requirements are quite high as a MMO game, I would say. But on the other hand, we are slowly entering in a new generation of MMOs, so graphics have to be in singleplayer standards.

I'm going to max out this game. My fresh laptop meets all recomended requirements easily.
