Just checked and as of writing this Brasse hasn't changed her LinkedIn.

CORRECTION: Brasse has changed her facebook info to reflect that she no longer works at Trion.

    Nice post

If this is honestly the expectation of gamigo, then Trion Worlds was generating revenue. That doesn't mean they weren't in debt, or that they were earning a profit, but the negative posters who've said Trion "wasn't making money" appear to be wrong.

If the Trion Worlds operation generates income for gamigo, perhaps they WILL continue the games, no?
Yeah, that's why I pointed it out that it sounded very much like individual games were meeting their goals, but the company as a whole wasn't. The only one that may be low on the totem poll is Atlas Reactor.

So they fired Salvatrix and DeadSimon but left Archonix ?

    Whaaaaat ?

He is one of the people responsible for the whole mess and he is the one to keep his job ?

Nothing new I guess. I've seen this before many times.
It's speculation for now like a lot of things as we haven't heard any confirmation from any source. I know people give him a lot of crap, but I personally don't think it's particularly any one developers fault on the team as to why things turned out this way or just the way the game turned out in general. I think there's a lot of stuff higher up and in the background going on that ultimately forced a lot of these decisions to be made. That isn't to stay that he hasn't made any bad decisions.

    Thank you Holyroller.

As always, a superlative summarisation of the various information streams going on at present.

It is amazing what can be found out by researching company documents in public domain.

I hope the bods at Gamigo are able to come over here soon to communicate and at least try to quell some fears.

In all of this it has been somewhat forgotten that the new owners are treating this as an investment for the future development of their revenue generation streams (especially using the blockchain transactions model.) so the games will carry on...in one form or another they will carry on.

I hope that we may see some familiar faces returning too.

I would imagine that it's the devs and engineers who are/were responsible for all the broken content, poor coding and overall spectacularly bad performance of the game. FFS, two years in to "Star Fall Prophecy" there are dungeon bosses that still have game breaking bugs. Prime is such a laggy bug infested mess most people can't bring themselves to waste their time on Prime. Here's a fun fact for you. When Storm Legion launched there was a low-level 52ish rogue/warrior gun with mage stats. Yep! It made its way to Prime Storm Legion. THAT is on the devs.

Give gamigo time, they'll be rid of the fail management, too.

I've had to conclude that Prime will be hstory, so I have decided to just leave my characters on the shelf there, unfortunately.

I was enjoying Prime, but can't see it going anywhere.

I agree that it's a steep road ahead, if there is a road. HolyRoller has made a post including some likely speculation that all of the game directors for their respective games made the transition.

Given that Avathar apparently had FT and EE ready to push to PTS, and was working on TDQ, it's possible that with some help from Archonix and whoever Gamigo brings on (if they do, which is likely) we will continue to see Prime move forward.

How long this takes, if it happens, is anyone's guess.

I almost wish the dev's would have just shut prime down and moved our char's to live servers of our choice...I don't see this new company doing that as promised from Trion. but who knows, maybe they will keep prime going since it is revenue.

You can add to the list of knowns that Morgana still seems to be employed. She posted that there will be a server restart tomorrow.

The only thing I keep thinking about is when Daybreak took over EQ. I know that EQ2 is doing okay also and launching a new expansion next month so sometimes when this happens there is a light. For me that is my faith for now and that's all I have. However the silence from this company is not good. I almost wish Daybreak would have bought out Trion, at least we would get content for sure and maybe have got to keep some of our dev team.

The money in Prime comes from subs. Mostly paid for up front awhile back. I do not see how gamigo reaps this profit pool unless Trion actually payed cash to gamigo to take on there debt. (might b). Alas my thinking is they will not be reinvesting in that server. Best hope is an integration at some point. Prime is just not a business model that conglomerate of investors seem willing to take on. Nor have they in the past.

    Thank you Seshatar.

Lets hope they at least take some of these things into consideration.

You say 0 rift devs but there are some reputable sources saying that there are Rift Devs around still.

Do not forget that Prime has had multiple powerpacks, and that dimension items for credits was asked for by the community.

You are right that subscriptions represent a hefty chunk of income for P2P games, and that in the case of Prime, many of those players already had subscriptions from Live Patron. Don't underestimate how much additional revenue was pulled from other sources though.
