    Default Celestial Matrix Drop Rate Stealth Nerf ?

    Our guild has run about 20 total crift runs, and also talked to everyone who was doing the crifts with us, and it seems to all of us that the drop rates have dropped quite a bit in this update. Everyone had gone from about 4-5 matrix drops ( due to the previously increased rate ) to about 1-2 matrix drops. Stealth nerf? Accidental re-tune aka bug? Everyone's imagination?

    Believe it or not, I have found this as well. I have run a lot of them in the past and it seems to me I usually get around 3-5 or so on average, but this past week i got a total of 6 from 60 rifts :P haha. Could just be back luck, but interesting post!

    Yeah we run with a lot of randoms, and 20 runs is about 400 people. Almost everyone said that they were getting less matrixes than they had just last week, like I said from 4-6 previously, down to 1-2 per 20 crifts currently. Now 400 people isn't a game wide survey by any means, LOL , but pretty much EVERYONE of them agreed.

    That's about 200 more than there are players in the game :P

    I guess they like to play with the drop rate every now and then. I had a lot of runs where I got 1-2... Then, about 3-5 weeks ago, I got 5-6 with 4 chars in one week.

    I've been getting one Celestial Matrix for every three to five Crifts.

    That is exactly how RNG works. It isn't fair. It is common to get a few matrices more or less than the average. Personally I think 3-4 matrices per run is the average.

    Also the group can have bad RNG, but we can't even be sure if that really happened in this case. I prefer numbers of everybody in the group over (some?) people in the group saying they got bad RNG.

    Crift RNG isn't too bad, because it balances out if you do enough of them. But for other aspects of the game like essence drops from raid rifts, RNG is really unfair.

    RNG has been hit and miss based on which of my toons runs crifts.
    The Primy gets matrix drops at a better rate than my rouge and the rouge gets more useable essences, thus I am very selective as to toon swaps based on current activity.

    The DRR is rough these days. Engine drops are scarce in TD LFR for the up and coming players, to the point that they are discouraged from doing it at all.

    I believe a fine tuning to the loot mathematics is in order.
