Trion does not want NON-PAYING players to grind currency quickly and start raiding, hence currency cap.

Trion has absolutely ZERO qualms about letting $$$ spending players start raiding on day 1, hence the gear on sale which will allow people to hop straight into raids.

There are only two solutions :
    1. Remove cap or set it much higher (like 200-300k)
    2. Remove credit option from world/expert gear (atleast remove credit option for the first month, have some shame and dont spit in the faces of your hardcore players)

    Default time to gear

Just to compare SL vs NT, gloves as an example:
SL: 1700 expert marks for expert grade gloves
NT: 9000 (or 7000 something what ever its now on the PTS) expert marks für expert grade gloves

SL: 400 expert marks per expert
NT: 400 expert marks per expert

How should se time to gear be equal?
In my noob calculation i it is 1700/400 = 4.25 experts to get the gloves in SL and lets say 7000/400 = 17.5 experts to get the same value of gloves in NT.
Are the experts in NT so much shorter that this can become equal amount of TIME to gear?
Sure you can do WF and PvP quests in addition but for me, that consume TIME and so the TIME TO GEAR in NT will be much higher then in SL. IF you have unlimited time a day, maybe you are right Daglar, you can then calculate in Days because you can only make a given amount of these PvP/PvE daylies in a Week.

Evry causal who only play a Expert or 2 a day will not have the same time to gear as in SL, he will need more then 2 times of the time he need back in SL!

PLS DAGLAR: Dont calulate TIME TO GEAR in days or PvP/PvE daylie charges, calculated it in hours of playtime and your wohle calculation is blown up.

feedback is nice and all - if based on proper facts (like fixed numbers and itemization).
Not giving feedback because the numbers aren't fixed completely defeats the point of giving feedback on PTS because PTS is subject to change at all times.

Techie Will put up a nice informative post with constructive feedback and a lack of trolling, on information from PTS. It's not like he made the numbers up, and he did say something to the effect of these numbers aren't final. But it's what he had to work with when he made the post, and it's what all the other people have to work with to reply to the post.

If I could, I would update the original post when numbers are brought in line with closer to how they will be at launch.

You could earn 2800 marks in SL per week and in NT you can earn 15000 marks.
SL and NT expert gloves take both about 60% of the maximum of currency you can earn per week.
You can always cut your playtime to get to the cap by investing in boosts.

This is my issue with the current situation..they want a cap but you can buy your way around it on most things

One other possible solution would be to let people outright buy stones and then remove the credit option from stat items that can be bought with stones and credits. At least then they would also be subject to the cap they would just have the option to get there quicker each week. Obviously some items (ie earrings) would need to be adjusted if they don't want a "credits" option, but it could be done.

Don't expect Trion to listen. Daglar has already stated his position and he won't budge.

As always customers should vote with their wallets.

If you think that Trion doesn't listen to something like this, you're sadly mistaken.

Not only is Trion listening, and responding they are actively ignoring all data that is hearsay. They have access to a lot of metrics that we do not. They have collectively spent hours and hours in meetings having discussions on models we haven't seen. Once Nightmare tide is released they will be pouring over the data coming in and watching actual user provided data. Daglar is constantly changing the pricing as we speak. Cap's have been stated to be finalized.

People need to vote by throwing off the forecasted metrics. If we can get 33% of the people to consistently hit currency cap, we can get it raised. Vote with your time to get the caps raised!
