These forums are drenched in the loathing and self-pithy of a select few, many of whom are obviously bored with the game and project that boredom of the game onto these forum. Every little niggle is being treated as an sign of impending doom and the fact that half the Rift people have been on vacation and thus not been on the forums is a sure sign of imminent armageddon.

All I see is posts with issues and a thousand and one 'perfect' solutions that immediately warrant a reply from someone at Trion. The fact that they never reply to these threads doesn't seem to register with the posters, and it is taken another sign of woe. I'm sure they take note of the suggestions and take them along in whatever decision proces is going on. We have only a very narrow scope on what actually happens ingame, but somehow people think they know what is happening.

Stop whining. All you do is sour the atmosphere even further.

While I admit I actually agree with some of the negativity and criticisms being posted it is getting out of hand. Especially when people start posting saying Rift is going f2p or going under or insert person here was fired *even though we donlt actually know that* Constructive critism is one thing and is helpful doom and gloom over speculation and assumptions is not. I would like to see more communication from Trion though. However you do have a point we donlt have the full scope on what happens ingame and just because they donlt post doesn;t mean they donlt read/notice the issues.

Most people that use the forums(any internet forums for big games, really) are a very, very small but very, very vocal minority. Take everything you read here with a grain of salt.

So I guess the pvp dev has been on vacation since November 3rd.

Thanksgiving and Christmas (and a post-launch breather) is one component to the quietness but even when the devs aren't posting, they are always reading.

I know that having people to talk back to is super important, though - being told that we're reading and listening isn't nearly enough (we all want dialogue.)

I think we don't need to PM anybody, because the problems are listed in the top threads.
But it's nice that we got some feedback on what's going on. I believe everybody, or at least the majority of us, agree you guys deserved the break. It's the complete silence that's breaking us.
