Name Change Question

There are quite a few people that have me added on their friends list. I was wondering if a name change would automatically remove my character from their friends list. It would be nice to be able to play in peace and not have these people know my location or online status.

Changing your name will not remove you from someones friend list, it will just show the new name on the list
