I have seen the same thing, although throughout Telara I have seen a floating trumpet of some sorts (similar to the one that my bard plays). However, upon returning to the location today to take a screenshot that I specifically remembered one being present, it is no longer there? Something fishy is going on, I have never noticed these in the past and I have played since beta.
Floating bard instruments across Telara = bard changes coming? :P
Apparently they're markers put in by the devs.
We're not supposed to see them but it's becoming quite frequent that we do
I've noticed this too, though the underwater one made me laugh. I guess many bards have died...
I've been noticing a few of these myself though to begin with I thought it was an arm! Found one floating in mid air just off the cliffs behind the PvP tent in Sanctum.
Roleplay Character - Himo (Level 50 Elf Cleric) <The Clandestine>
PvE/PvP Character - Katketty (Level 50 High Elf Rogue) <Crucio Sanctorum>
Same here. I believe it was a broom I found floating above a rock on top of Laterns Hook in Droughtlands. I found it later again when moving from the position and towards Freemarch. Same broom and about same height above the ground.
Cleric - Sanzor
Guild - The Pack
I know what it is!
I've noticed that the bard in sanctum is playing on air, he's not got a visible banjo out. Obviously he must have lost it! We should bring it back to him.
Clearly this is Trion giving us subtle hints to prepare ourselves for what's coming in...
Patch 1.10: Battle of the Bards!
Where every character of all races/classes/souls can learn the musical instrument-playing abilities that were once secret only to the Bards of Telara. And of course the Defiant and Guardians have to decide who has the better group of bards.

Level 60 High Elf Mage (Guardian)
Guess we're gonna have to find better places to hide all that phat lute....
I've seen a full stance filled with boots, a few swords and an armor outside of Vestige, by a rock in the middle of the nature close to the road. The funny thing is that it was actually physically there aswell as you could not walk through it.
I was quite shocked and asked a friend to come over to my location (I did not want to tell why) and the first thing she said when she saw me was "Why is there a stance with armor on it here?"
Very odd and the GM was just as shocked
