or they could just make 26 slot craftable bags, that should fix everyone's issue with space. and if you still dnt have enough space you definitely are a pack rat. though a new crafting weekly, with a higher lvl crafting rift with higher odds for mcm, and only higher lvl crafting goods, that would be nice

Just curious, how many people out there actually do crafting quests anymore. Yes I know the new update added some keeper rep, but besides that what do you actually get out of it besides stockpiling marks which are pretty much useless.
My friends and I did this for about nine months before we took up raiding, and for a a variety of reasons we don't do the cutting edge content. When we started raiding we did the "old" raids and now that pretty much makes crafting useless. I'll be honest and say doing those old raids pretty much killed the game for us.
I have seen people on this forum say raiding for those who don't have time is a myth. This is true to an extent if you consider doing outdated content a myth but the moment you step into new content that changes.
Perhaps I am just getting bored of all mmo's, but strangely I have gone back to old ones and I get that same feeling of excitement when I level up, or attain something that isn't handed out. Raiding in this game seems to come in two flavors: hand outs or the lower percent.
I only post because my guild has gone from 26+ to.... 2 people. While this may be a low sample rate it is indicitivie of a major problem. I used to praise this game to anyone i met. but now..my cc expired last month and i only put in the new one to get the new mounts.
Yes, a minority would whine, but that doesn't mean that a majority don't have a huge shortage of space right now that should be addressed.
Seriously, I see these "why whine on the forums" posts from you all the time. Forums are for discussing things. Participate or don't, but honestly the few posts of yours I've seen have no substance at all.. frankly I'd rather see whining of any kind than more of you posting in people's threads telling them something isn't worth talking about.
Without trying to call you out..why? the crafted stuff sucks unless you are new to this game. I am a crafter at heart and there is nothing really worthwhile, occasionally I'll make a necklace or ring but those are not even needed.
Look back at the crafting thread and you will see exactly what I was suggesting, but my point is, after nine months of this, what exactly does crafting do for us? Its worthless. You can collect marks but really there is nothing else. I have some friends with 20k marks.. for what? 900 poa... why?
My point is even if you are new to the game and raid.. there is no point even bothering with crafting unless you have no intention of raiding, and then you are working towards gear for the point of it. There is nothing worthwhile to do with the gear you get unless you are cutting edge. There is nothing in this realm worth fighting at all so it is all pointless unless you actually care about number and you like to show off.
I understand where you're coming from, but you're talking about a change in how Rift does crafting in general. That's all well and good, but for now, there are people that do craft even though it may not be worthwhile at the end-end-game.
Sure, there are better things you can get for yourself much more easily (well, arguably - for some people, committing chunks of time, even if it's an overall time savings, is harder). But some people enjoy A. collecting patterns, B. making things for their alts, or C. being able to help of a guildie needs something made. I'm sure there are other reasons too.
What I'm trying to say is, just because the crafting system could use work in terms of its overall usefulness endgame doesn't mean complaints about how the system operates for everyone else aren't valid. Lots of people do crafting dailies to get marks.

FWIW I hadn't done the old crafting quests for months, but I do the new ones now. I like that they reward planar XP.
100% agree on inventory space being a problem. I already carry a bag of consumables (a raiding requirement) and a bag-and-a-half of gear (downside of being a jack of all trades cleric). That leaves about 50 slots for any crafting materials I am collecting, any fluff items I want to keep around, any artifacts I happen to pick up, and all the trash loot that drops. It's not enough. With fishing and survival, it's not even close to enough.
