For those of us who have a lot (and i mean more than 2000) of the Master Craftsman Mark... Would it be too much of a drain for XP conversion for 30 marks to a single 100,000 XP crystal?

    And I thought I had a lot with ~150 over 3 chars.

Don't they cap at 100 per character?

Sorry, got the name wrong. Was referring to Artisan's Marks.

I have another suggestion and a way to implement it too.

It would be awesome to have recipes for pvp items that are worth using at max rank. How do you do that without making it the easiest way to get an item for pvp though? Easy I say! Let us buy these recipes for whatever set price you come up with. Then make several recipes that require the item from the last recipe to upgrade to it to the new one (just like pvp items work). Now throw in a material that has rank requirement and/or costs as much favor as the item that goes in that slot if you just bought it outright. The stats should be better than said equivalent that you can just buy instead of craft. We also now have the option to augment the item and make it more to our liking. Now our crafting skills are meaningful to us and still require the same or a little more effort and currency than the other pvp items.

    Example:
    Legionnaire's Battle Axe: 32000 favor
    Brigadier's Battle Axe: 83200 favor + Legionnaire's Battle Axe
    Conqueror's Battle Axe: 128000 favor + Brigadier's Battle Axe

Crafted Axe 1: recipe + material that costs 32000 favor
Crafted Axe 2: recipe + material that costs 83200 favor + Crafted Axe 1
Crafted Axe 3: recipe + material that costs 128000 favor + Crafted Axe 2

I know this is a huge thing to add, but, I would very much like to see it added eventually. I suggested this same thing in "that other game" and we never did see it. Very disappointing... You could do something similar for raiding and people would never say crafting is useless or fell to the wayside ever again. Do it!

EDIT: Oh yeah! These items would have to be bind on pickup or else it defeats the purpose of having the crafting profession yourself altogether. Should also require max level in that profession to equip it so people aren't tempted to rotate their professions.

EDIT 2: Also, you could probably only do like 1 to 3 pieces of armor for armorsmith/outfitter professions or else they won't really be buying any of the other gear... Just sayin...

Default Identical crafted items should stack

Pls for mercy of god. And then allow us salvage/runebreak etc whole stack for once. Ideally items should stacks to 100 but even 20 would be huge upgrade. Spending an hour+ each week to make consumables just for personal use is not my idea of fun.

Eternal Planar Dusts are now marked as blue (rare). I don't know if this is a bug, or if the devs have given up trying to make it a "common" drop, but this means that Mighty Brightsurge Vials are now the only green consumables that require a rare ingredient to craft.

I can't really see any issue with a green item requiring a blue mat.

Maybe if the colour classification meant anything in Rift, but it doesn't. I mean blue RC mats and blue essences are trash compared to green.

However the point you raise about Planar Dusts no longer being white was the stupidest change I have seen. Way to completely screw looting in groups. If someone could give me one single reason why the classification change was done, it would be something. Failing that, I take it that Trion wanted to completely negate the need greed system without actually doing any work to change it properly.

Well, no. They aren't rare at all, I have hundreds, maybe into the 1000+ range of the damned things and several hundred endless etc etc.

Which is really the point. Why classify dusts which were white, so they now prompt a roll window in PG's.
Within a few hours of 1.7 hitting, PG's went from the odd pop up for pots, greens and blues (which most people went greed on with only the very rare need out of line) to everyone and their dog selecting need on every single thing.

Which makes a mockery of the need/greed system, it now has no use. Anybody who might need a blue armour piece for example (this would be quite common in IA's or fresh 50's in any PG) no longer has a separate option but is in the same roll as someone who can't even use it. Also, anyone who doesn't agree with this and would want to select greed is completely cut out of everything in any situation.

Removing the need and greed rolls and replacing with just roll isn't a perfect solution as the first example is still screwed. But the situation now means everyone is screwed unless they select need.

Not reclassifying dust would have left the situation as it was, or simply adding an auto roll would have given us the status quo without pop up windows every few seconds and without the situation I find myself in where I will no longer PG.

These probably have been mentioned already, Techically not a bug but more of a ommision.

Recipies which are not scaled in every level, (ie 2hd whetstone, +Parry on Gloves etc)
Top level mats not having a simple recipie to make them worth gathering (ie oricalcum which people mine for the gems and leave the metal because its 99% useless once you made the recipies you want with it.

This has been addressed before on the forums and was mentioned already in this thread - short answer is no...long answer is no - why? you would see armies of outfitting/runecrafting alts for easy/cheap weekly/daily quests to "farm" mounds of plaques for alts.

Honestly, I hope they do more faction rep acquired recipes - it keeps them somewhat "unique."

Some of what has been suggested could also be fixed through the use of addons. RunCrafter Helper does all of the searching by slot/stat/level and works perfectly fine. Whether Trion wants things like this handled through the default UI or through use of addons is up to them.

Definitely agree with converting raw materials to item enhancements. As a player who tanks on two soon to be three toons it would be great to be able to directly craft armor plating/shield spikes/weapon stones from ore/bars.

My only major QoL is in the disparity between gathering level and use. Ori and shadethorn are useless beyond making CD items once a day. Car is used for crafting dailies and salvaging for the above mentioned enhancements. Titanium and runebirch are the bane of my existence. I spent most of my gathering time looking for them only for crafting dailies. Fixes are either:
    1. Use more "top tier" gathered materials for dailies ie Car and Ori
    2. Expand the number/area of titanium and runebirch gathering nodes. Currently about 1/4 of SS, SM 1/3 of IPP (although they also spawn Cobalt >.<) and 1/2 of DL spawn titanium
It just seems out of whack that Titanium is worth 2-5x what Ori is since its such a pain to farm.

Posted this back in Jan, no idea if anyone noted it down
No idea if a bug, but looks like it.

Blazing Adamant Rune vrs Blazing Enduring Rune, Is there something missing?
I have both of those recipes

Blazing Adamant Rune = +11 Endurance on shield and totem -> 1 sparkling shard and 1 peretual flare
Blazing Enduring Rune= +11 Endurance on shield -> 1 Sparkling shard, 1 peretual flare and kinetic burst

Why have the second recipe that uses more ingredients but is only used on one item?

Couple things on the topic of gems: I'd like to see the same chance at getting a gem when mining corpses as when mining a node. I'd also like some recycled gem pieces when using Salvage Accessories on jewelry that drops off npcs, instead of just getting recycled metal.

I'd just love to see a consumable that makes me bigger. I've been using what I have left of the Fae Yule food but I'm just about out. It's nice being able to make myself bigger for raid fights when a stacking mechanic is involved.
