Default Effect of Block Value and Block Absorption after soft cap

Block Value gives 0,000485*100% Block% per point.
Block Absorption Value is variable per point because of the formula it uses.

Block has a soft cap of 45%
Block Absorption has a soft cap of 50%

    1. What is the amount Block Value contributes to Block% after 45%?
    2. How is Block Absorption calculated after 50%?

Currently on my phone and don't remeber the exact value without looking it up but I can give you the approximation for now.

Block chance after the soft cap goes from 0.004854% per point to 0.01456% per point. So approximately one third of the amount before the cap.

As for blocks amount. This formula doesn't change and stays as:
    Blocked amount = block rating / ( block rating + 700)

Will edit the post in about 5 hours with the exact value.

    Thanks for your reply.

According to the 1.4 patch notes block absorption got a 50% soft cap. I figured something must change after 50% then, otherwise they wouldn't have mentioned it (or they should have said it didn't change).

I know the current formula already has diminishing returns built in, but a soft cap suggests an even stronger DR formula somehow.

Yes you would expect it however even at 1100+ block rating it still seems to follow the original formula for me.

Also the 0.01456% I said before was the accurate value so didn't edit the post.

Good stuff. Looks like you're missing a 0 though. Should be 0.001456%.
