"Trion has long said they would never FORCE people to pvp if they didn't want to."
Trion said that? hmm... what's with the never-ending pvp guild quests then...
not saying you have to do them, but... come on. It seems you really need to do them all to level the guild at any kind of a decent rate.![]()
The cross shard had nothing to do withe the anti social feel in WoW - the players had everything to do with that. Some of the changes listed here sound very promising. Still bummed about cross server LFD and the anti social effect it had on WoW.
Well surprise everyone and bring back a 40 man raid, or even make it a 50, since your tech can handle it!
Awesome stuff though... Keep up The good work!
i think having it at lvl 50 is to short make it to lvl 60 and ill like this game alot more
I know this is a lot to ask, especially because I'm a game design major and I -know- how much work goes into individual quest lines, monsters, items, spawns, terrain, artwork,etc.etc. that all makes up a zone... but I feel I must state this for the record anyway.
We need more leveling paths. It's just the truth. World of Warcraft had 4 of them (east kalimdor, west kalmdor, northern ek, southern ek) that could take you pretty much from 1-60 and then each expansion put in two more leveling paths for each new continent.
So far, we have two leveling paths, and only once you leave the four or so "faction specific" zones (the ones that feed into Scarlet Gorge)
If at -all- possible I think you guys should expand this by two more leveling paths, something to give vareity to the players leveling up... at the very least, when and if you decide to make an expansion, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT JUST EXPAND HIGHER LEVEL CONTENT LIKE WOW HAS ALWAYS DONE! D: It was a major turn off in WoW, and I'd hate to see it repeated here.
Other than that, you guys are doing great, I love RIFT to bits, and will likely keep playing for quite some time to come!

I am happy with this game, I feel like the designers and management have been diligent at keeping us updated and have actually incorporated a fair amount of peoples concerns with the game. I do agree with the statement below, and it may be something that could already be in the "long term plan". If it's not, it may be something to consider.
I love how responsive you guys are to gamers' demands, and I am excited about the upcoming changes. However, one thing is still missing: Addons. I would love some kind of auctioneer addon or similar AH statistical analysis, also dps/heal/dmg meters that are easily accessible, some way of managing large amounts of mail other than clicking on each individual item and lastly some form of gatherer/map that allows me to be more efficient when looking for crafting mats.
I have really enjoyed Rift so far and I am looking forward to it getting even better.
Thanks
Love how Trion continues to improve and listen. Good stuff.
Only concern is PvP gear related where the cleric gear is on par with GSB stuff. You can either grind PvP mindlessly and achieve higher ranks/often superior gear that can be conversley used in PvE. Kinda seems waste of time (for some classes) to focus on PvE when you can get better gear for perhaps less effort/consequences in PvP. Like to see seperation of PvE gear vs PvP heal gear at least for clerics imo. Have 2 pieces of T3 after months of slamming my head against the wall and bidding against 10 others, while the best geared cleric in guild has all s6; he was decked long ago and simply bought it. So with new ranks comes superior gear. So why PvE?

I'm going to make a small request that I hope someone at Trion reads.
To a large extent your player base are the relatively hardcore gamers (yes, I said it, and yes I include myself in this). Many of us are refugees from other places where the buck ($) of the masses mattered more than we did, who got them where they were in the first place.
I am very excited about the announcement and look forward to what's to come (maybe some char of mine will actually hit 50 before then too. >.> ). I ask that, whatever is to come, please don't forget us down the road like some other MMOs have done *cough*WoW*cough*.
Thank you.

all that content to be added and its still just a patch, imagine what the expansions to this game will be like![]()
Let's take the rift to the future. I don't wanna wait.
You need to look for shortcomings in yourself before you look for them in others. Otherwise, you're just a fat bluff and your word means nothing.
I think I know what you are getting at here as you say it directly yet I suppose it boils down to 'what is or is not a hard core gamer'.
I consider myself a prolific gamer, ie I play alot of games, alot of the time. Anything up to 16 hrs in a day when I am playing & can stretch that across several games depending on who wants to play what, if I want to play with someone or whatever I want to play.
When I hear the words 'Hard Core' I tend to think of people that take games seriously & work hard at a goal ie raiding when I have played this game since headstart & have yet to raid.
What I am getting at here is a players $ is worth something & no 1 demographic is more important than the others. It depends on how much importance the players puts on themselves as to whether they feel they are being catered for in a game that caters for a wide xsection of people as opposed to a sub group that play a game a particular way.

misunderstanding the nature of statistics: (e.g., the majority of people in the United States die in hospitals, therefore, stay out of them.) "Statistics show that of those who contract the habit of eating, very few survive." -- Wallace Irwin
Just wanted to show my appreciation for all your hard work, Thx for a great game.
