not at all. the earlier the better most server names will not change. better to get the word out now than wait till launch day. that has been a big problem for me and my friends in past MMOs.

They stated that most beta server names will not be changed come retail?

Going to avoid an Oceanic server this time around, they always seem to die after 6-9 months and I'm left running around a dead server.

It will be an unnoficial one rather than an official one, unless i'm mistaken, which means that there will be people from all around the world playing on it, not just us oceanics. I wouldn't worry about it.

But in that thread it seemed like more of an introduction , noone really talked about what servers everyone was on or was going to be on

Hello all my fellow Oceanic Region Players!

I thought I would start this thread so we can gather names and show that there are many of us in the region looking forward to RIFT.

Also hopefully sooner to release we can decide upon an unofficial oceanic server, if Trion don't give us our own Official server.

So welcome everyone!

Also a question for discussion,
" Would you prefer Oceanic players to be grouped with North American or European players?"

Personally I would prefer North American as the timezones tend to meet up slightly better, however I would like to hear other opinions on the matter.

But hey, if divided threads/votes is what you're after.... go for it.
