    • Your experience as an MMO gamer
I've played mmo's since 2004 when I started playing Final Fantasy XI and Lineage 2 before moving onto EQ2 later that year, where I met my wife. After that I moved onto WoW, EQ, VG and have dabbled in all the recently released titles like: Lotro, WAR, AoC, and Aion.

    • Your experience as a tester
I have participated in the following betas:
Guildwars, EQ2, WAR, Aion, AoC and Vanguard.

    • Why you want to be a Rift Beta tester
As an experienced beta tester, I enjoy seeing the development process of a game. I feel with my mmo and other gaming experience, I can contribute greatly to the beta testing process.
I’m fully able to express myself clearly and describe the bugs and other inconsistencies I might find in the game during the course of testing.

I currently have three computers I can/will use, both of which meet the requirements:
    Latpop:
    OS: Windows Vista 64bit
    CPU: Intel2.o Ghz dual core
    RAM: 4GB
    GPU: nVidia 260M
    On Board Sound

    OS: Window 7 64bit
    CPU: Intel i7 930 (3.8GHz)
    RAM: 6GB
    GPU: nVidia GTX480 (1.5 GB)
    Sound: On board

    OS: Windows 7 64bit
CPU: Intel 3.0 Ghz Dual Core
    RAM: 4MB
    GPU: nVidia GTX 8800 (768)
    Sound: On Board

    Connection: 60Mb cable

My experience as an MMO gamer
    MMO's played:
    EQ1 - 4 years
Star Wars Galaxies - 1 yr
    EQ2 - 4 years

    Messed around in:
    Vanguard - 3 months
    AoC - 3 months
    Aion - 6 months
    EvE - off and on
    My experience as a tester

I have been in Beta for the following:
    •EQ1
    •EQ2 and its expansions
    •Vanguard

Why I want to be a Rift Beta tester:
After 9 years of EQ1 and EQ2, it's time for me to take a break, but only a break from those franchises. I would love to help define a new game, that looks very promising. I have really enjoyed Scott Hartsman's work over the years, and know he can bring quality product to the table. I'm and avid gamer, and now have some time on my hands to test and tweak. I enjoy giving feedback on class balance and raid balance.

    • Windows Vista (64bit)
    • 8MB DDR2
    • Intel® Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz

Alas I am fairly new to MMO’s as a whole. I played Muds for years before a group of friends finally got me to give in and try out WoW. Figured out fast I wasn’t super big on role play forums, although I love to rp. So quite and yet another year later I was convinced to give it another shot and loved it.

And then I saw a new game on the horizon in its beta stages, that being Aion: Tower of Eternity. So my best friend and I jumped on that gravy train and that was my first experience with the environment of beta testing. It truly increased my love for the game. Being able to take part and contribute to the game before its official release.

Rift is amazing and has an already passionate community that gets excited at the release of a screenshot(myself included). I can’t imagine how great it would feel to be able to help through beta testing. I would love to help find any bugs or glitches that might cross my path, so that they could be taken care of. The game is just overflowing with potential and I would love to help contribute both before release as well as after.

My pc will meet the requirements:

    OS: Windows XP
    CPU: Intel2.5 Ghz dual core
    Graphics: Radeon HD4670 512MB
    RAM: 4GB
    GPU: nVidia 260M
    On Board Sound
    Connection: Cable

And I will be upgrading the Graphics card asap.

"Assassins aren't tanks Desi..." "Seemed liked a fun idea... was kinda bored." "You know for an assassin you aren't very sneaky." "I call it ode to- oops got another one." *audible sound of Arithion facepalming.*

    • Your experience as an MMO gamer

I played Dark Age of Camelot for about 6 Years. Since that time I had a look at almost every MMO on the market, but only Lord of the Ring was able to hold me for more than 1 month or so. And since the release of Warhammer Online I play that game. I don't want to list all the other minor games (like WoW, AoC, Aion ...) . I really played only those 3 Games for more than 2 months. But since 2003 i play MMORPGs every day ;)

    • Your experience as a tester

All right - lets try to list it ... i will reduce it to the more or less big names. ^^
    • Warhammer Online (~15 month, F&F and CB)
    • Dark and Light (~ 18 month CB)
    • Lord of the Rings Online (~. 2 month CB)
    • Horizons (~ 4 month CB)
    • Ryzom (~ 5 month CB)
    • Age of Conan (~ 6 month CB)
    • Wish (~ 4 weeks CB, then it was canceled - a shame!)
    • Gods & Heroes (~ 2 month CB, canceled )
    • Stargate Worlds (~ 4 month Alpha, canceled - maybe^^ )
    • Everquest 2 (~ 2 month CB)
    • WoW (US and EU OB)
    • Aion (Chinese OB)
+ several "asia grinder" CB and OB... but thats not really something to show off ;)

    • Why you want to be a Rift Beta tester

Because I am a fan of it since it was first shown as Heroes of Telara and I am anxious to see how the dynamic elements in the game and the great (on paper^^) class system will work. In addition I love the lore (as far as we have seen it) and the art style of the world. In my opinion the beta phase is one of the most amazing parts, because the players can help to polish and to adjust the game and thats something I really love.

    And the missing hard facts:
    Age: 29

    Gaming PC:
    CPU: i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz
    RAM: 4 GB
    GPU: GF 460 (1GB)
    OS: Win7 64bit

    Rock on!

Edit: Ah - the boards are seperated. This is my german Rift board profile

    • Your experience as an MMO gamer
Name any big MMO over the past 7 years and I can almost guarantee you that I have played it.

    • Your contribution to the community (post count, post content, reputation, etc.)
Well, lets face it. I have not really posted on here at all, but have been lurking around the boards and digging up any information I can on this game for quite some time. I am currently a guild co-leader and have been for many years. http://falloutclan.net We have been looking for a game like this ever since Vanguard didn't really plan out like we had hoped. After reading about the talent you have acquired to develop this game, I must say that I am VERY excited. Most of my guild have high expectations for this game and I want to help in any way possible to ensure this game becomes all it can be.
    • Your ability to express your views (both positive and negative) in a productive way
    Games I have beta tested:
    Vanguard
    Warhammer Online
    Age of Conan
    Asheron's Call 2

I always made sure to report any bugs I found while beta testing any of these games. Once a week I would also send a report back to the devs with my view on the game's current state and provide as much constructive criticism as I could. Who knows if they actually read it! Rift would definitely receive the same attention if chosen. Age: 24 -- Loads of free time on my hands!

My specs definitely meet the requirements you are seeking!
    i7 960
    12 gigs of ram
    ATI 5870
    Win 7 64-bit

A dxdiag can be provided if needed.

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this thread. I hope you find the testers you are looking for.

    • Your experience as an MMO gamer
I started playing EQ around 2000... played it for four years and loved it a lot. Since then, I've played Saga of Ryzom, City of Heroes, EQ2, World of Warcraft, Vanguard (of course *wink*), Tabula Rasa, Star Wars Galaxies, Horizons/Istaria, and probably a few other games...all for varying short periods of time. Probably the longest I've played anything since EQ was either Vanguard or WoW.
    • Your experience as a tester
I took part in the beta testing for Vanguard, Saga of Ryzom, and Tabula Rasa.
    • Why you want to be a Rift Beta tester
I'd like this to be the greatest work of the written word in recorded history...but sadly I think I already wrote that one to get into the Vanguard beta. lol

I'm a gamer at heart, looking for the next adventure and place to play. I'm really excited to see the game and try things out, and sink my teeth into the systems and the feel of the world.

I bring my professional computer expertise, my attention to detail, and some reasonable communication skills to the table, and I'm willing to provide the time and effort to make this game the best it can be. You'll never feel a shortage of feedback from my direction, I promise.

I'm pretty sure by now you folks know where I stand...I'm not shy with my opinions. I feel like I can bring an honest and useful perspective to testing and evaluating the game, and you'll never have to worry about me holding anything back or just telling you what you want to hear.

I see a great amount of potential in this game, and I'd like Telara to be a place I can call home for a long time to come. I'm highly motivated to help make that happen, and help Rift be as polished, cohesive, and complete as it can be at release.

    Computer specs -
    Current system -
    Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (Dual-core 2.4 GHz)
    2GB DDR400 RAM
    Geforce 8800GTS 512MB (G92)
    Windows XP

I'm planning an upgrade, and I could move that up if needed. Specs for my new machine -

    Phenom II X4 945 (Quad-core 3.0GHz)
    4GB RAM
    Geforce GTX 460 1GB
    Windows 7 64-bit

    I have cable internet - 15Mb/s down, 2 up.

    Experience in MMO games:
    EQ1- Feb 2000 until May 2005
    EQ2- May 2005 to present
    VSOH for approx a year.
    Trials for WOW and Eve.
I was a Guide in EQ2 for two years.
I was a Knight in VSOH during beta.

    Testing experience:
    VSOH started in Beta 2.5
    Gods and Heroes
    LOTRO
    Tabula Rasa
    Lineage II
    Saga of Ryzom
The last three expansions for EQ2

The reason I would like to be in the beta for Rift is to feel as if I will have some impact, no matter how small, on the gameplay for others upon release. I would hope to be able to make the beta experience count for something and to make the overall game better.

    I am well over 18...hehe

    Computer specs:
    Windows XP
    4 Gigs Ram
    E8400 core 2 duo- 3.0ghz
    9800GT Nvidia
    130 gigs of free space
    DSL connection

    Cool Rift Beta Tester? WOOHOO

I have never beta tested a MMO but would love the chance. I have played many an MMO which include:

    1. WOW
    2. AoC
    3. War
    4. Aion

in the recent years. I will show my age as I first started fantasy epics with The Bard's Tale on a Commodore 64 which i kinda miss but anyway. I would relish the chance to be a tester as I have been looking forward to the release of Rift for quite some time and have started to immerse myself in the mythos which caught me from the beginning as I am an old scholl RPG'er.

    Anyway my system specs are:

    Win 7 Prem
CPU 2.93 Ghz 875K Quad Core i7 Processor
    GPU Nvidia 240 GT 1GB DDR5 OC
    1.5 TB Hard Drive
    RAM 4 GB DDR3

    Thanks for the consideration,

    Azsh

Admittedly I have not contributed to this community directly, just sort of followed it along as a lurker. I've followed it mostly through riftjunkies.com and fohguild.org/forums

    • Your experience as an MMO gamer
The following MMOs have seen extensive play from yours truly:
    World of Warcraft
    Everquest 2
    EVE Online
    Everquest

The following MMOs have seen a light to moderate amount of play from yours truly:
    Dungeons and Dragons Online
    Lord of the Rings Online
    Warhammer Online
    Age of Conan
    Vanguard

    • Your experience as a tester
    Age of Conan
    Warhammer Online
    Dungeons and Dragons Online
    Lord of the Rings Online
    All Points Bulletin
    Vanguard
    Starcraft 2
One that still has a NDA

In my time as a tester, I have worked a lot to call attention to strong and weak points in the game. Communication is the key, and it certainly won't be a successful beta unless bugs are reported. I feel I can offer the perspective of a fairly experienced MMO player who has continuously beta tested over the years.

I am 25 and reside in the United States.

My computer meets or exceeds the qualifications and a dxdiag can be provided upon request.

    Default Beta Selection Info

My experience as an MMO gamer...

I have played EQ Since Apr 2002, EQ2 since 2004 with Beta testing done for EQ2, City of heroes/City of Villains since 2006, Vanguard since 2008.

As I have watched populations dwindle on the servers I have been playing on I have been looking for a new MMO. Everything I have seen about Rift: Planes of Telara has piqued my interest. I am an avid crafter and I love to group. I have a very analytical mind and would love to give you my feedback on this new game. It looks totaly amazing.

I have a varied playing schedule as I have a rotating day off and schedule.

    My system...

Dell Precision M90, Intel Core 2 Duo (T7600) 2.33GHz (2 CPUs), with 4GB ram running Windows Vista. Video: Quadro FX 2500M with 1901 MB, running dual monitors.

I am really looking forward to assisting in this BETA test if chosen. I will provide feedback, both positive and negative, where needed.

Your experience as an MMO gamer
Everquest, my 1st and longest played, 8 years
Everquest 2, short stint after launch, 2 months
Vanguard, never gave up until the end, 3 years
World of Warcraft, on and off since Burning Crusade, 2 years
    Warhammer, 6 months
    Aion, 3 months

    Your experience as a tester
Vanguard, as a pre order I was allowed access to the closed beta before launch
Warhammer, I was a beta player in an invitational closed beta weekend, as well as open beta afterwards
    Aion, open beta before launch

Why you want to be a Rift tester
Rift is the 1st game since I read about Vanguard that I have been seriously hyped about playing. Having played MMO's for the past 10 years in the "hardcore" and "casual" settings I believe I have a nice balanced mind set, and can provide insights from both aspects. Rift is a game I see becoming my new home, and I wish to be a part of it from the very beginning.

Intel Pentium I7 Quad Core 2.67 ghz
