Default Why does a quest you can only get once you're level 50 give XP?

Just turned 50 and picked up the "Battle for Port Scion" quest which for some reason awards XP when turned in.

Can we please have it changed so all quests turned in at level 50 offer more gold rather then XP?

You don't get any gold from the quest? Just XP?

What about when the raise the level cap, I am sure people would rather have that XP then.

you get money and notoriety and prestige from that quest..not just xp.

    Nothing to see here.

I realize you get XP AND money, what I'm saying is, it's pointless to give XP for quests once you hit level 50 so they should change it (like WoW did, flame away) so that when you are max level you get EXTRA money from turning in quests.

I'd rather just have them hide the XP award then. Inflation is already starting to creep up in the game and there is no point in making it worse.

More money for what? There really is nothing to spend plat on and on top of that, at least on my server akylios, there is no AH to speak of.

if I'm correct the wow system is something along the lines of

    /check
    is player level capped?

    no: Ignore

yes: alter exp to money at a rate of x.

We don't really need it here, it's no problem to get your money, not to mention that at this point in game AH is is still in it's millk-fed stages and far from becoming a mature system for transactions. Adding an influx of extra money now will mess with the economy at this point in time, as none seems to really be going stong yet. (to say none is established may be pushing it a bit far, there is some odd selling going on. Sometimes.)

I'd almost be willing to bet it's just to screw with people's heads and see how many threads of this nature would pop up. You get other rewards, just ignore the XP. Would XP -> Gold/Notoriety conversion be nice? Yes. Is it important/required? No.

When they raise the level cap somewhere down he road they won't have to go through and add XP rewards for those quests.
