I've nothing against the /say channel but....

This isn't a "whine", just a suggestion really......

I'm at the other end of Sanctum and I'm hearing a group of players discussing things at the top of the tower.
Now, I've got nothing against people using the /say channel, and I could indeed disable that channel so I don't get such messages.

However, perhaps reducing the /say range to say 15m would be appropriate (if it is possible of course) considering that when you talk you don't expect the entire city to hear you Being able to talk to the entire population of a city is what the /Sanctum channel is for isn't it?

Someone already made such thread, me as well but somewhere else. It's indeed very weird that say and emotes have a range that should only have /yell.

IMO, 15m is REALLY close. Real life numbers, yeah, that's not so bad...but apparently people in Rift are pretty freakin tall. Talking relative distance, I can hear people talking (excluding loud/obnoxious background noise) from ~30-40m Rift distance easily.
What does need changed however, is the omnipresence of Borrin Gammult. I can hear him say one particular line in every zone, in both factions.
