    Glad you're getting my money and not any other MMO's. This is a nice thing to see implemented. I've never been hacked but it's a nice thing to know this is there to help.

    One thing I'd like to suggest. Make it any different IP. If a dynamic IP is changed then we have to use the code, no big deal. Don't make it significantly longer, I'd suggest anything different. Or, at the very least make sure you can't log in with a VPN/Proxy.

    I'm sure the majority of the playerbase won't mind having to enter a code in once a week when their IP changes.

    Once a week, some cable companies change the IP address every 4 hours...

    well I opened a ticket (with exactly the needed information) nearly 48h ago ... no answer yet ... Hopefully I will get one these days

    What I would LOVE to know is the order Trion is going in order to help people. I have now waited 34 hours, others have waited days. A personal friend of mine, waited 3 hours, problem solved. It's absolutely ridiculous at this point waiting as long as many people have.

    I didnt get hacked but did turn in an unrelated support request, which I recieved this email from them. I understand the delays, and maybe this will help those still wondering.

    Please know that this is not the level of customer service, nor the speed of response that you should expect from Trion Worlds Inc. We are taking steps to correct this situation as quickly as possible however it will take us some time to get to the level of staffing necessary to provide the support that you deserve.

    There are a couple of things that you may be able to do to help us get you the assistance you need as quickly as possible.
    1. Our first priority is helping anybody whose account may have been compromised. If your account has been compromised please know that you are our top priority and we are getting to you as quickly as possible. When submitting a ticket for assistance of this kind please ensure that you select "Hacked Account" as your category in order to get the fastest possible resolution. Please also title your page as "hacked account" and include the character name that has been compromised along with the shard that the character is located on.
    2. If your issue has self-resolved or if you no longer need assistance please close your ticket by typing /cs and then hitting the "Close Issue button".
    3. If you still need assistance then please type /cs and type "yes I still need assistance" and select the Update Issue option.
    4. If you are reporting somebody trying to sell plat (which you shouldn't be seeing much of anymore) then please right click the player's name and use the report spam option. This allows us to both investigate the issue as well as consistently improve our spam filter to get these aggravations out of Rift.

We do apologize for the delay in responding to your request and thank you for your continued patience while we make the necessary changes to provide the customer support and experience that you should expect from Trion.

    There is a FATAL flaw with this in my opinion, tying the email in with the one you login with.

    You have no idea how aggravating it was when Blizzard switched to an email based login system, anyone else notice when they did this there seemed to be a lot more accounts being compromised?

    Trion needs to make it where we set up a real login name rather than what we have now, otherwise this system seems kind of redundant.

    Is Trion addressing the lost platiums that happened last night? (did not happen to me) But I've alreayd seen people who have.

    I beleive it is some sort of bot script when it logs into as many accounts as it can using a mask and scripts the platuim out of your character's inventory.

    Everyone seems to have lost about the same amount (35p) if they had it. Doesnt show as you logging in for play time. I was on when I think it happened (Midmorning). Got kicked for >2 seconds. I didn't have the cash to extract, so didnt change anything.

    Appreciate the heads up. However, I have not received any email what so ever from them. How long after submitting your ticket did you receive a response from them? I did update my ticket with what you copied and pasted about the "yes I still need assistance" though. Hopefully I get a response soon. If anything, I just want this to stop hanging over my head all the time.

    Coin Lock: Awesome mechanism =)

    In addition, may I ask TRION to allow users to specify IP filters for their accounts? The "Coin-Lock" feature probably auto-learns IPs but that can detect false positives.

    For instance, I play from two different locations. One location is used only in the weekend when I am visiting family. I'd like to specify my ISP's IP ranges and that of my family's.

    Adding the option for people to apply an IP filter (through acct management) for those savvy enough would be a great addition to the coin lock autolearner feature.

    This is a valid point, as the hackers/scammers would have got the users email address also... - but saying that, lets see how this 3rd level/app works - could be the nail in the coffin for gold sellers (until they hack that!), but seeing the limited amount of sellers in game so far is a sign that many sellers have just given up already.

    I still think BoA gold and all transactions via the AH and algorithms to catch dubious trades (10 plat for some low item) would also create a nightmare for the sellers ;)
